Cottage nr Ivybridge, Plymouth, South Devon, England - Ideal Location For Touring, Family Or Walking Holidays

Badger Cottage was named after a close encounter with a badger during the renovation of Blackadon Farm. Badger Holiday Cottage offers spacious accommodation and is on two levels with the 2 bedrooms & bathroom upstairs with the  living area , cloak room plus entrance on the lower level. Built in the 1890's with solid walls of local Dartmoor granite and under a Delabole slate roof. Badger Cottage offers 2 comfortable bedrooms, a double en- suite which has a four poster bed and a twin room plus a bathroom which has a bath and a separate shower cubicle.?The well equipped kitchen which has a gas hob and electric oven, fridge with a freezer compartment, a microwave & a dishwasher plus ample glasses, dishes etc.  Cooking up something special with excellent local produce then please ask if you find you need an utensil not in the inventory. There will be a complimentary welcome pack containing  waiting for you in your holiday cottage, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, j cloths and scourers. The lounge area has comfortable settees and easy chairs, a 32in flat screen colour tv with a Sky Digi Box & dvd, plus a mini stereo with a CD/cassette player. A small section of DVDs, board games and reading books are available for your use in the guest information area next to the guest laundry room. A combination gas-fired boiler provides instant hot water and radiator central heating which keeps Badger warm in winter  and cooler in summer. We do ask that there is no smoking in the cottage.Guest information booklet. In the guest information booklet there are details of the area around the self catering holiday cottage to allow you to enjoy the peace and beauty of your location such as walking routes and wildlife guides. There are a few suggestions and recommendations to the wide range of South Devon and local attractions. Please ask about the local South Devon attractions as over the years we have accumulated helpful suggestions from where to park and where the best fish & chips are to be found. South Devon is gaining an increased and well deserved reputation for local produce. A list of quality local suppliers is in the Guest Information Booklet. Some of our guests have taken advantage of deliveries offer by local suppliers such as Gribble’s Butchers in Ivybridge or veg from Riverford Organics, (the larger supermarkets also offer a delivery service). Morning papers can also be arranged from the Village & Post Office Shop in Wrangaton. A cot & high chair are available – we do ask guests to supply their own breeding for the cot. We do ask that your pets are excluded from bedrooms and should be well controlled at all times. Pets must never be left unattended. All fuel and bed linen are included. We ask if guests could bring their own towels. Towels can be supplied at a small charge if required. Wifi and mobile phone signals are available – as the cottages are in glorious Devon countryside wifi is slower than in the cities and mobile coverage does vary. We do ask that wifi is used for emails and browsing and not for downloading as that blocks other users. Your holiday cottage has been inspected and recommended by the local inspection scheme organised by the Dartmoor Tourism partnership Limited. We wish you an enjoyable stay in Badger Cottage and please let us know if there are ways we can contribute to your holiday in South Devon.
