Superb New Year Break

  • 5 of 5

This was a fabulous property with everything you needed. There were 5 of us and we had plenty of space with two large rooms giving the younger adults the space they needed. A lovely relaxing break, and a good time had by all. The horses below us, were not a problem and if anything gave my daughter and myself great pleasure. A great getaway from it all here's hoping that this year won't be quite as wet!

Fantastic New Year Break

  • 5 of 5

Had a 4 night break at Stable Cottage over New Year with friends. Good communication with owner ahead of stay, beautiful location (although a little difficult to find in the dark) and the cottage is decorated to a very high standard. Couldn't fault it.

Further Details:

If you like the great outdoors, you’ll love a break in one of our holiday cottages in the Yorkshire Dales, a land of steep valleys and rushing rivers, of charming stone villages and imposing castles, of ancient abbeys and lush green hills.

This is fantastic walking country, featuring the Pennine Way, the Dales Way and the Yorkshire Three Peaks walk. The area around Malham is particularly scenic, taking you past limestone gorges and glacial lakes. And don’t miss the dramatic Aysgarth Falls. Our Yorkshire Dales holiday cottages also make great bases for visiting historic sites such as Fountains Abbey, the extensive ruins of a great Cistercian abbey set in the wonderful gardens of Studley Royal. Bolton Abbey is also well worth a visit, while there is a beautifully-preserved castle in the pretty market town of Skipton.

There are some delightful villages to explore in the Yorkshire Dales, places like Burnsall and Grassington, with their disctinctive grey stone houses. Or for a touch of elegance take a trip to the spa town of Harrogate. You can even enjoy a Turkish Bath here in typically Victorian surroundings.
