Just got back from a lovely break, it was tranquil, relaxing and very cosy. The cottage has everything you need and is in beautiful surroundings, the owners Sue and Tim are very friendly and helpful with excellent advice on places to visit. We will definitely be back very soon and for longer next time.

Brilliant, what more can we say.

  • 5 of 5

We have had the best time staying at Garden Cottage. We were made very welcome by Sue and Tim who welcomed us despite having family commitments and like others have said, we knew they were there if we needed them. There was everything we needed and the location is brilliant. The cottage was spotlessly clean and is handy if you want to go to the coast or head inland and there is lots to do within a few miles of the cottage. And thank you for recommending the Lion hotel. I'm sure we will return , thanks Sue and Tim.

Stunning place.. Dogs Welcome.

  • 5 of 5

We had the most wonderful couple of nights at Garden cottage. We were greeted by Tim & Sue who showed us around. It is a wonderful spacious place, everything you need inside and so much space still to move about. Very very clean. So very peacful and picturesque. The sheep in the neighbouring fields made it so heavenly. We took our well behaved boxer dog. She fell in love with Sue, Also fell in love with the place so much that we had to drag her away. The location of garden cottage is fab, not to far from Aberdovey, beautiful place, Highly recommend going to Dovey Inn dogs welcome, and fantastic food and people. Aberystwyth not to far and a fab place. We will be back with you next year. This is our Dogs treat for her holidays, So thank you Sue & Tim for making her holiday this year. We have one Happy but very Tired Boxer dog. We love Wales, very friendly to our dogs.

Garden cottage.......... Amazing

  • 5 of 5

We've both loved our stay at garden cottage, sad to leave really.Tim and Sue made us very welcome on our arrival and we knew they were there if we needed them. The property is spotlessly clean and very well presented, the rural location is amazing, the silence actually woke me up! I really didn't want to post a great report on this property for the simple reason that to many people will see it and want to go there but I feel that I owe it to Time and Sue to let the world know how beautiful it is. We will return , thanks Time and Sue x

Trefeglwys

With a village pub as well as facilities for walking, cycling, fishing, bird watching and clay pigeon shooting, this charming rural settlement in the beautiful Trannon Valley has everything a visitor could possibly need for a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Llanidloes

Built on the banks of the River Severn, the nearby historic town of Llanidloes boasts a variety of architecture including timer-framed buildings, as well as an impressive old market hall. The town provides antique shops, pubs, restaurants, banks and scenic riverside walks.

Llyn Clywdog

The Llyn Clywedog is a man made reservoir formed by the construction of the Clywedog Dam. The 236-foot dam was built between 1965-67 to regulate the flow of water in the Severn, both as a protection against flooding of the upper sections of the river during the winter months and also to ensure the maintenance of a minimum flow in the river during the summer.

Hafren Forest - 8 miles

The Hafren Forest takes its name from the River Severn, the Afon Hafren in Welsh, which takes its rise about a mile from the western boundary of the forest, high up on the slopes of Pumlumon, the highest mountain in Mid Wales. The Forestry Commission have created a number of different trails along the Severn, through the towering pine and spruce trees, and deserted lead mine workings.
