A converted steading set in an acre of quiet private land, with fantastic views of the local countryside near Elgin. Winnow Cottage is the larger of the two cottages - with two single beds (which can become a double) and a sofa bed in the living room. Gable has a double bed, Both cottages have a private shower and toilet as well as kitchen area linked to the sitting room. Both cottages are fully equipped, with TVs, wi-fi and electric heating. Pets are welcome. Gordonstoun School is 5 min drive.

Winnow Cottage is the larger of the two cottages at Mossyards. It has a double room with two single beds which can be made into a double. The living room has a comfortable sofa bed. The property has a shower in the bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The living room has a large window which looks onto the countryside of Moray, full of wildlife. The cottage is set in an acre of private land, down a drive from the Duffus to Roseisle road. Elgin and Lossiemouth are 10 minutes away by car, Forres is 15 minutes and Inverness 45 mins away. The coast is a 5 minute drive away, with stunning cliff and beach walks. The cottage has 6 golf courses within 6 miles of the property. Fishing, walking, mountain biking and the Whisky trail are all very close. The owner's house is on the site - we are very happy to help with any advice or problems. Pets are welcome. Gordonstoun School is 5 min drive.
About the Owner
I am retired teacher who has lived in the local area for 40 years. My family have grown up at Mossyards and I know Morayshire very well. I am very happy to help with suggestions for things to do and places to visit.

Special interest holidays:
FISHING - The Spey and Findhorn are short drives from Mossyards. The two river boast some of the best fly fishing in the UK. There are also many lochs and a very good trout fishery nearby.
WHISKY - The renowned Malt Whisky Trail is easily accessible from Mossyards holiday cottages. Local distilleries include Benromach, Glenlivet, Glenfiddich and Macallan.
WALKS - There is a huge range of walking along the Moray coast and inland along rivers and in forests.
MOUNTAIN BIKING / CYCLING - There are many trails in the local area. Bikes available to hire.
GORDONSTOUN SCHOOL- the cottages are 5 minutes from the school, so are very convenient for visiting parents.
The cottages are 5 minutes drive from the Morayshire coast. There are long sandy beaches, cliff top walks with stunning views across the Moray Firth.
The unspoiled coast is popular for dolphin watching and is rich with marine and bird life.

ELGIN has a large Tesco, Asda, Aldi and Lidl. It also has a bustling High Street and shopping centre. There is a cinema, leisure centre with swimming pool and ice rink. There are also several banks, a library and Heritage Centre.
EATING and DRINKING - there is a wide variety of local cuisine in the surrounding towns and villages. We would be very happy to recommend some options.
