Wonderful apartment, 570 sq feet, very comfortable and located in the very center of Cannes on the pedestrian rue Hoche, close to shops & restaurants. Located on the 4th floor, it is quiet and comfortable. Large bedroom and bathroom with quality Double bed 160x200 + Air conditioning (Daikin quality). The lounge has a nice Sofa Bed 160x200.The train station and bus station are 150m away. Boats across to St Tropez and Monte Carlo all leave from the center of Cannes from the old port. The airport is 30 minutes by taxi, and there are direct Bus lines "210 Cannes Express" from the airport (40 minute trip/30 euros return).

About the Owner

We live in France. I am from Nice, south of France and Jim is British. We lived in California for 8 years and Washington DC for 1 year. Jim travels to Europe and the US for business a lot, but our base is Valbonne in the South of France. (Check out Valbonne when you're here !!)

We have two children (young adults) age 18 and 21, both students. We always wanted an apartment in Cannes and this is a great spot that we use for friends or ourselves from time to time. Ideal location for a holiday as every fun part of the Cote d'Azur is right there, easy to reach, from Cannes. Ideal for longer term business stay too.

L'appartement de Laurie est parfaitement situé au cœur de la ville. Commerces, plages, gare etc. L'accueil de Laurie a été très chaleureux. Elle mérite vraiment son titre de super host ! Le logement était vraiment très propre... lors de mon prochain séjour à Cannes. Je retournerais chez Laurie avec grand plaisir!

We had a wonderful stay the apartment was so conventiently located to the shops, restaurants and the beach. The family couldn't of been more helpful so much so we have booked for May and September next year. Laurie thought of everything.

Centrally located lovely apartment

We can thoroughly recommend this lovely apartment, which is situated right in the centre of town. Everything is within reach, beaches, restaurants and shops.

The apartment is tastefully appointed and is a real "home from home" A great base to come back to after a day enjoying the best the City has to offer, you won't be disaapointed.

Lovely place, great time

Stayed at Jim and Laurie's lovely flat over the winter whilst working in Cannes. Great place, full of character and really good for central Cannes. Super convenient for the Croisette, the shops and the train station. Ideal as anything from relaxing in town to a base for exploring the area.

The flat itself is very stylish, proper french windows (in my mind anyway), opening onto a great balcony overlooking Rue Hoche for watching the hustle and bustle of the world go by with a glass of wine. It's very well equipped, a new kitchen was installed whilst I was there, so all mod cons of course.

Laurie was eternally helpful, always willing to offer up advice and help whenever it was needed, and promptly sorting out any minor niggles (like the time I nearly flooded the kitchen by blocking the drain with rice....)

All in all, highly recommended. I couldn't have hoped for better (except the rain in November, but that's not Laurie's fault.)

Hop-in Hop-out

We just came back from 7 days holiday in Cannes. We were absolutely delighted with the apartment. It is comfortable with spacious rooms and bathroom. Very bright, with big windows in all premises. An important thing for us, apartment is quite secure.

Near to everything but tucked away for peace and quiet at end-of-day.

Special story is owner of apartment, Mrs.Laurie, nice and interesting person, very dedicated to this business. She was extremely helpful and careful.

We will choose this apartment again next time.

Nearest Airport : Nice Cote d'Azur at 25 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : CANNES Nearest Ferry : Cannes Harbour at 300 Metres Nearest Golf : Mandelieu at 5 Kilometres Nearest Train : Cannes Center at 150 Metres Nearest Motorway : Cannes access at 1 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : CANNES RUE HOCHE Nearest Ski : Isola 2000 at 75 Kilometres Nearest Beach : CANNES at 200 Metres Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

The coast and beaches are right there, a few hundreds yards away. 200 meters to the beach front "Croisette" in Cannes where you will find public and private beaches. The summer fireworks are set off from there.

Travel:

Airport is a 30 minutes taxi ride. The train can take you closer to the airport to catch a taxi. Buses leave downtown every 30 minutes to the airport.

Having a car is not essential in Cannes and to visit the surrounding area. The owner can help you with the best way to get transport to different locations.

If you do travel with a car, you may want to organise public parking ahead of time to save $$ (euros)!. Please check: interparking-france.com

Distances:

Most lovely villages can be reached within a 20-40 minutes drive, train ride or bus:

e.g. Valbonne, near Grasse. Biot and the glass blowing company. St Paul de Vence, and Vence. Eze and Monte Carlo and the coastline from Monte Carlo to Nice is wonderful, through Beaulieu and Villefranche.

Further Details:

Downtown Cannes has the best shopping around the Cote d'Azur.

Local fresh produce markets are available a few steps away from the flat, but also grocery shopping with Mono'P and Monoprix (the owner will locate them for you). Most supermaket in Cannes will deliver your groceries to the flat for a small fee. The post office is in the street, 100 yards away, but also most large french/international banks are very near. Pharmacies and doctors are nearby. Our street is filled with restaurants and cafes and the atmosphere is amazing.
