Apartment in Porthtowan, Cornwall, UK- A Popular Seaside Village with magnificant surf/family Beach

Barbara Anne's is a modern 2 bedroom ground floor apartment with sea views in a small popular seaside village, with shops & restaurants. The magnificent surf and family friendly beach of Porthtowan is 2 minutes walk.

It has a private sunny patio garden with furniture and BBQ. It sleeps 4-6 in 2 bedrooms and on a sofa bed. The master bedroom has a double bed and the small second has bunk beds. The living area is open plan.

The apartment is comfortably furnished in a modern style and has all the facilities and equipment you would want during your stay. It is family friendly with travel cot (please bring your own cot bedding) and highchair for your little one, and bunk beds for older children. Bedlinen (not towels) is provided on weekly bookings. Books, games and DVDs are tucked away in a corner of the living area and there is a washing machine and all the kitchen equipment you could want.

Nice property and was perfect for us and our dog

Relaxing holiday by the sea

We stayed in the property over New Year. It is the perfect location for brisk sea walks getting you onto the beach and coast path in minutes. There are several good places on your door step and further afield to stop off for a coffee or a beer. We enjoyed a beer at the Victory Inn, a welcome stop on the cliff walk and a delicious cooked breakfast at the Beach Cafe which is two minutes walk away.from the flat.Inside the flat is surprisingly spacious with an early morning surf check enjoyed through the front window while still in your slippers enjoying a cup of tea.The flat has everything you need and is warm and comfortable, there's a digital TV and excellent broadband. I would definately book again for a relaxing holiday by the sea.

The popular resort of Porthtowan has a village shop with Post Office, The Blue Bar, a beach Cafe and ice cream shop. There is a surf shop, beach shop and two surf schools in the village.

The section of the North Cornwall Coastal Path in the area of Porthtowan, Chapel Porth, St. Agnes Beacon, and Trevaunance Cove has some of the most beautiful cliff scenery in the country, abounding in wild flowers and numerous species of sea birds. The National Trust owns the beaches of Chapel Porth and Godrevy. Chapel Porth is a fine beach at low tide, and Godrevy is a beautiful long stretch of sandy beach backed by cliffs and dunes, at low tide the beach extends along the coast to Hayle.

Most of the beaches along this stretch of coast are excellent for surfing. Perranporth, only six miles distant, with its three mile stretch of sandy beach, also offers a golf course. Horse riding is available from various establishments within a couple of miles of Mount Hawke. Hayle, with its large estuary, is a favourite haunt for ornithologists. The Eden Project is within easy driving distance. Other principle places of interest in Cornwall are all within easy motoring distance, e.g. Lands End - 30 miles, Penzance, St. Michaels Mount and Mousehole - 20 miles, St. Ives - 18 miles Falmouth and Newquay - 12 miles and the City of Truro - 8 miles.
