Crail is a lovely seaside town in a beautiful part of Scotland which is easily accessible from the east coast and the central belt.

It has something for everyone and there's always plenty going on from Golf to food and music festivals. Not forgetting the fresh lobster caught and cooked at the harbour.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review Julie. I wish you had called me about the fire alarm as it was a very easy fix. It is a mains connected alarm but it appears the back up battery was removed and replaced the wrong way round. This causes the alarm to periodically beep which was probably quite annoying. When I turned up to clean I turned the battery round and it started working again. I will update our property information to let people know how to prevent this from happening in the future. I'm very glad you enjoyed your holiday otherwise and we look forward to welcoming you back very soon.

Fantastic location, wonderful accommodation and attentive owners.

Spent three night in the Neuk and couldn't have hoped for better. We were there with three young children and the oldest two loved the bunk beds with TV/DVD, the main bedroom was comfortable and big enough for the cot, whilst the kitchen and living area was smart and welcoming. Location is great, from the fish and chip shop across the road, the butcher and baker at the end of the street and the pub on the corner. Altogether a brilliant trip.

Lovely little hide away.

Nice clean and tidy house with every thing that we needed, well equipped. Our daughter loved the bunk beds. What also made the holiday was the weather for the time of year the weather was super, very little rain. Good base for getting out and about in the area, Cambo house is worth going to even more so when the new visitor area is complete. Crail is a good base for getting out and about in the East Neuk. St Andrews 20 min by car and the other East Neuk villages well worth a visit.

Lovely apartment,excellent location, helpful information from owners re locality

We had a lovely stay in Crail - helped by the wonderful weather that week. Enjoyed revisiting old haunts and found owners recommendations re- restaurants very helpful.sadly couldn't try the Honeypot as it was closed but the coconut and cranberry scones in Julia's pantry to die for. Lovely coastal walks, rewarded with fantastic fish and chips by the harbour in Anstruther - best I've tasted! Also spent lovely day at Cambo House and gardens- wonderful woodland walks going down to the sea. Would also like to thank Jonathan and Jen for being so understanding when I messed up with dates of our visit!
