Quiet villa in Gata Residencial with views of Javea, mountains and the sea

3 double bedroom furnished villa built in 2006 with 2 bathrooms and 2 reception rooms. Large terrace and shared pool.

The villa is located within Gata Residential, a hillside development overlooking the Mediterranean and surrounding mountains including Montgo. It is a quiet residential site where approximately two-thirds of the accommodation is taken up by permanent residents which gives the location a relaxed, settled and friendly community atmosphere.

Local amenities include a local bar at the bottom of the hill, a Mas y Mas Supermacados and a range of cafés, shops and restaurants in the two local villages - Gata de Gorgos and Pedregeur (both 2km from the villa) Eating out and drinking in these inland villages is traditionally Spanish and cheaper than the two larger towns of Javea and Denia (10km and 15 km) from the villa. These towns are ideal for beach goers and those who enjoy both historic charm and nightlife.

Gata Residential sits close to the AP 7, with fast links to Valencia (1hour drive) and Benidorm (30 mins) and Alicante (45 mins, 1 hour for airport). There are many other idyllic resorts and towns to explore within 30 minutes including Altea, Moreira, Jalon and Alcalali.

The villa does not have its own swimming pool, however, we prefer this as we have young children. There is access to a shared swimming pool approx 50 metres away. This pool is well maintained and is a private pool shared amongst M8 residents with access gained via a locked gate.

The120 square metre villa was built in 2005. The rooms are on three levels, the ground floor, the mezzanine floor (8 steps up), the upper floor (again a further 8 steps up). It is modernly furnished throughout & offers all the luxuries of home. The villa also benefits from mains gas central heating perfect for that winter break in the sun.

The villa has three bedrooms with two set up as twin rooms on the mezzanine and upper levels. both have ample storage, air conditioning and black out shutters. On the upper level is also the larger double bedroom, set up with a double bed. There is a small easterly facing terrace which looks over the Mediterranean and is perfect for gorgeous sun rises. The family bathroom with bath/shower is also located on this level. Storage and air conditioning is also a feature of this part of the villa.

The second bathroom is located on the mezzanine level with a power shower unit. On the ground level is a fully fitted kitchen with a washing machine, oven, microwave, fridge and freezer. It also has great storage with plenty of equipment and cutlery. A separate utility sits to the side of the kitchen.

The ground level is set up with a dining area seating 6 and a large lounge with two large sofas, and a TV with UK Freeview and a DVD player. We also have the WIFI router set up in this room which is strong enough to serve the villa.

Outside from the dining area is a large terrace, facing the Mediterranean to the East. We have another dining area set up here which is covered by the villa.there are lights fitted so it is perfect for eating in the evenings most of the year. The terrace also opens out into a large area perfect for sun bathing and relaxing. 4 sun loungers are provided as are beach towels for guests to enjoy. We also have a fully functioning barbecue on the terrace for another cooking option. During summer the sun rises over the terrace at 7am and sets at the front of the house around 5pm.

At the front of the villa are four car ports, one of which is for this villa so you can park within metres of the front door.

About the Owner

Hi our names are Kev and Abi and we look after this villa on behalf of Abi's family. We all love this part of the Costa Blanca, its coast, mountains and the fact it is not too touristy like some nearby resorts like Benidorm. Our love for the local towns and culture led to Abi's Mum deciding to buy a property here in 2006.

We bought the property off plan, therefore we have been the only owners. The property is a three bed villa which comfortably sleeps six. With a shared pool and its own garden, we spend days lounging here as well as exploring the local countryside, beaches and towns.

Gata Residencial is a sleepy community with a blend of Spanish and other European families living here permanently as well as tourists. The complex is quiet, safe and rural with local charm.

We live in the UK but visit frequently. The property is managed on a day to day basis by a local resident who will ensure you settle in and will be able to provide advise on the area and deal with any issues or concerns you have with the villa during your stay.

Great base for lovely area

It's a really nice villa, with plenty of space and everything you could possibly need for a holiday. Air con in two of the three bedrooms plus the lounge is a massive plus in midsummer. UK TV is handy too for the evening.

The terrace/garden is much bigger than it looks on the pictures. For the money, excellent value.

Just one piece of advice, a car is a must because there isn't anything within walking distance. But it's well served by roads and you have a choice of all the local beaches within a few minutes. Large supermarket is five mins drive away.

Happy family gathering for my daughter's wedding. It provided a sunny, peaceful base for the last-minute wedding preparations and trips to the seaside and local attractions. It was very clean and well-euipped. Thoroughly recommended.

This is an ideal three bed Villa for families or groups of friends. The Villa itself is spacious and had everything we needed. Very clean, comfortable and UK digital TV a nice bonus I wasn't expecting. The view is wonderful, staring at Mt Montgo. You really should experiencee the sun rises if your up early enough as the garden overlooks the sea at Javea from some 9 or 10 km away. I also found that the air is superbly clean due to the slight altitude.

You will need a car, but the local towns are all relatively closeby with a lovely local feel to them especially Gata de Gorgos, Alcalali and Jalon. Javea and Denia, larger tourist areas are only some 15 mins away if you want some night life or more of a tourist feel.

Very good value, will look at Gata Residencial again.

This lovely modern villa is located in Gata Residenical. From the hills it looks down on the beautiful Spanish town of Gata de Gorgos and Javea. It has great views of the surrounding mountains of the Jalon Valley & the coastline of Javea. The villa is just a few minutes drive from the towns of Pedreguer, Jesus Pobre & Gata de Gorgos with an array of bars, shops and restaurants. The cosmopolitan coastal resorts of Denia and Javea are just 9 km away. Gata Residencial is approximately an hours drive from Alicante and Valencia's airports (using the AP7). One of the key attractions to this region is it is not overly developed. It has a relaxed, friendly feel and plenty to explore, although a hire car is needed. There is plenty to see and do in this beautiful area of the Costa Blanca.

Javea and Denia are both a 10-15 minute drive away. We highly recommend checking out L'Arenal beach in Javea.


Alicante Airport is approximately 70 minutes away by car (105 kilometres) We recommend using Gold Car who have a large fleet in the airport (no bus ride to depot needed).

Valencia is a similar distance, however have less flights from the UK.

Denia has a large port with regular crossings to the Balearic Islands.

Guests can gain access to the villa from 4pm on the arrival date and are asked to vacate the villa by 10am on the departure date. Requests for different arrival and departure timings can be made but may not be possible, particularly during the high season.

Once guests have made an initial enquiry via Owners Direct they will be emailed a booking form. To secure a booking please complete and return this booking form along with a £200 non-refundable booking deposit. Bank details will provided at this stage. We can also deal with interested guests by email and post if preferred. The remainder of the rental price is due 6 weeks before arrival.

This villa location offers a perfect balance of beautiful beaches, stunning inland mountains, and small, quaint local towns. Guests can choose to spend time sunbathing on the sun terrace, by the communal pool or at the local beaches (approx 15 min drive away). The villa has a large, airy and spacious downstairs living space as well as three good sized bedrooms. The advantages of this villa include being located in a quiet, less touristy area which offers greater value for money. The views of the mountains, towns and sea is stunning. The clear mountain air and 300 days of sunshine a year makes Gata Residencial a great place to stay. You will need to hire a car but there are plenty of amenities close by including Mas y Mas supermarket, Monroe's pub and a number of towns some 10 minutes drive away.
