Cottage in Whitstable, Kent, England - Great location, less than 5 minutes from the beach and harbour

The house has undergone a 6 month renovation and has quality fixtures and fittings with under floor heating to the ground floor. Large master bathroom, and comes fully fitted throughout with beautiful furniture and antiques. It is positioned very close to Harbour street with its array of shops and restaurants and is also very close for a stroll through the harbour and along the beach. All facilities are right there on your doorstep, and with festivals at different times of year, there is much to enjoy! NO LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS PLEASE AS WE NEED TIME TO GET COTTAGE READY ETC

Parking is on the street and there is a cheap car park very close.

About Tim Wood

We are a building company who normally do projects for private clients in central London. This house was a project for ourselves and our families and it required a lot more work than we first thought. But as anyone can see when they stay, a great deal of hard work/time and love went into making it into what it is today. It is our home from home and we relax as soon as we walk through the door. We hope you will feel the same.

Why Tim Wood chose Kent

I went to Whitstable with my business partner in July 2013 for the 1st time and we both really liked it. We thought it would be a good place for an investment property which both of our families could use when the work was done, and could also provide a small income as a holiday let. The house is in the perfect location for exploring Whitstable town and the surrounding coastal area and towns.

What makes this cottage unique

Our property is very close to the independent shops, good restaurants and pubs. You are able to wander about without having to use a car, unless you decide to go to Canterbury or any other near by town. When the tides out you can catch the swale, if your early enough!

You may decide to cook or not. There is an abundance of restaurants and casual eateries.

Notes on accommodation: The house is a 2 night minimum stay. NO PETS ALLOWED. Self Catering. Check out time is 10am unless otherwise agreed. Cleaning and turn around time is needed. During the winter months the log fire can be used and logs cost £15.00 a bag. Outside: The rear garden is fairly secluded and was refurbished along with the house it comes with furniture/lighting and barbeque Utility Room: Washer/dryer on ground floor Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included and are changed with every new arrival/ the house is cleaned after every departure Other: Bedrooms have dab radio/ipod dock

Clean and delightful cottage

The cottage is very well located, it was left in a clean and comfortable state in every room. Booking directly with the owner was straightforeward and safe who made me feel very welcome.

Pros: - location is excellent

- Has every amenity necessary for a young family

- clean and comfortable

- excellent family bathroom

- lovely garden with furniture

- blinds in every room were perfect

There were just a couple of minor issues that we had as there was no duvet but many blankets provided for the double bed and a very narrow staircase to 2nd bedroom.

Apart from that the cottage was perfect and we will be looking to re-book for future visits.

Owner's Response: Hi Vish, thanks for the review and we are pleased that you like our house, the choice of blankets over duvet is purely personal as we felt providing blankets and sheets which get washed after each visitor was a more hygienic way to carry things out, the staircase to the 2nd floor is original and typical of these fishermens cottages Regards Tim Wood

Lovely cottage, great location

Our five days in Whitstable were wonderful, not least because of this lovely cottage, stylish and comfortable, warm, in a great location, quiet yet very close to restaurants, shops, harbour and waterfront. The owners were very friendly and helpful. As other reviewers have pointed out the stairs to the top bedroom are quite narrow and steep, probably not suitable for everyone. The guest toilet on the ground floor is a definite plus if four guests are staying. Great use of space.The lovely little patio garden off the kitchen is private and surprisingly sunny. Highly recommended.

Luxury weekend in Whitstable

Perfect weekend break in this lovely cottage. We thought it was a stunning renovation, so well done and incorporating some clever touches. It is very stylish and well equipped but still feels cosy and comfortable. I also loved the garden design.

The location is perfect for shops, restaurants, harbour etc.

All pros and no cons. Would definitely recommend.

Fabulous weekend

We had a lovely time staying in this cottage, which has been done up beautifully and with great attention to detail. The location is brilliant, being just off the high street. We really appreciated the late check out of mid day on Sunday, making a 2 night break more relaxing.

Stunning cottage

Just returned from a lovely week in Whitstable. The cottage was beautifully renovated to a very high standard. It has everything you could want from a holiday home and I have taken home a few style ideas for my own house! Our son just adored the attic bedroom but I think the bathroom was my favourite...

Anniversary treat

My wife and I have just spent a lovely weekend at this gorgeous seaside cottage in Whitstable, the owners Ann and Tim could not have been any more hospitable. We were even presented with an anniversary card on our arrival, the location could not have been more perfect with a short walk to the high street with plenty of independent shops and the harbour with the fresh catch of the day being sold straight off the boats.

The cottage has been modernised throughout keeping its seaside charm and both Ann and Tim should be very proud of their achievements, I have already been recommending this place to my friends and family and would have no hesitation returning myself

Our quote is dependant on how many people are in the booking and EXCLUDE main holidays such as Christmas/New Year/Half Terms/Easter and Festivals. Logs are available at £15.00 per bag.

Changeover Day:
Arrival times are flexible but must be discussed and agreed beforehand
Departures times can be discussed and agreed but must be by 10am. This is to enable cleaning and turn around.

Notes on prices:
A week rental is between £525.00 to £700.00 per week depending on the season, EXCLUDING Christmas, Easter, New Year and half term holidays and festivals.

Shorter breaks are available and start at £260.00 for a 2 night break depending on the season. ALL PRICES STATED ON THIS SITE SHOW THE COST FOR 2 ADULTS. FOR 3 GUESTS UPWARDS, THE QUOTE CHANGES.

NO PETS ALLOWED

We do not take cards of any sort. Payment is made via bank transfer upon confirmation. Dates are put in the calendar and held only for 2 days to enable payment to be received. When booking is agreed, we will send you all the payment details.
