The property has 2 bedrooms, 1 with double bed and the other with 2 single beds. 1 bathroom with bath/shower, open plan lounge/diner and kitchenette. It is very well equipped for self catering and has dishwasher and washing machine. It is situated on a cliff top site with sea views. It has parking for one vehicle at the rear and is close to the coastal path, good position for walkers and cyclists. It is only 3 mins walk to the beach. It has a paved patio and grassed area to the front. Patio table and chairs are provided, also sun loungers.

I am married and have children and grandchildren. My family and ourselves love visiting our bungalow on the Isle of Wight and would very much like to invite you to come and experience the pleasure we get from it. Our children have grown up coming here and now our grandchildren are doing the same.

Why Pamela Stafford chose Isle of Wight

We fell in love with the Isle of Wight and so found and purchased our bungalow. We chose the West Wight and this site as it is a very quiet, peaceful area. We feel at peace here and can relax. It is close to the ferry at Yarmouth and all the Island attractions if we wish to venture out.

What makes this bungalow unique

Our bungalow is like home from home. We have only used it ourselves for holidays in the past and have fitted it with everything we needed including washing machine and dishwasher and TV in each room.

Notes on accommodation: Quiet, peaceful, clean and well equipped bungalow to relax and enjoy your holiday in, or use it as a base to come back to after visiting all the great attractions of the Isle of Wight. Outside: There is a paved patio with table and chairs for you to enjoy dining al fresco. Sun loungers are also provided. There is a grassed area for children to safely run about on in full view of their parents. A rotary clothes line is provided at the rear of the property to dry your beach wear and towels easily. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The bungalow is cleaned after each rental. Duvets and pillows and all bed linen are provided but not towels. Please bring your own towels.

Very comfortable, a home from home

We were delighted with the home and the site. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. To be able to see the sea every day was very nice, and we struck lucky with the weather. The location was ideal for us, quiet, but within easy reach of the sites we wished to visit. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday, and one we would not hesitate to repeat.

Well equipped bungalow in a great location

This holiday bungalow is located within a very nicely set out holiday village on the clifftops overlooking Colwell Bay towards the Needles. The location is very quiet, with ample green spaces, a useful shop, minigolf - and very quick access to the beach. The property itself is clean and very well equipped, with compact but comfortable accommodation and a pleasant outside space with parking for 1 car. The owner is friendly and gave us very good communication throughout the booking process. Although many guests may wish to use it as a beach break (the grounds are tranquil and there are spectacular sunsets to enjoy), we spent two weeks using the cottage as the basis for exploring the island. Nowhere on the island is more than 40 mins away, and many attractions are much closer. The site is also on the very well signposted island coastal path. in particular, the Needles, Yarmouth and watersports in Freshwater Bay are very close.

Owner's Response: I do my utmost to answer enquiries promptly and efficiently and make the booking process straightforward. It is very nice to hear guests say thank you and how they have enjoyed their holiday, The bungalow has everything I would wish to find myself for a comfortable, self catering holiday. There is plenty of outside space for children to play safely and the beach is a safe bathing beach. There is a drawer full of brochures of Island attractions for guests to browse through and decide which they would like to visit. In the evenings guests can enjoy the lovely sunsets we get here in the West Wight. There is a TV set in the Lounge and 1 in each bedroom so children can watch their own programmes while their parents watch something else or be lazy and relaxed and watch TV in bed. The Island has attractions to suit all tastes so there is always something to visit and enjoy or just have a beach holiday. Whatever your taste I'm sure you will enjoy your stay on the Isle of Wight and in my bungalow.

Coast/Beach:

It is only a 3 mins walk to the beach. Access is directly from the site by a slipway and a few steps. The beach is sand and shingle and the water shallow and safe for swimming.

Travel:

The nearest ferry crossing is Lymington/Yarmouth, just 10 mins drive away, a distance of approx 3 miles. There are taxis available in Yarmouth. There are also ferry crossings at Portsmouth/Fishbourne, 45 mins drive away and Southampton/Cowes, 40 mins drive. There is also a good island bus service.

Distances:

The nearest town/village is Freshwater approx 1.5 miles away. The ferry port and yacht harbour of Yarmouth is approx 3 miles and the Needles and Alum Bay is approx 4 miles. The main central town of Newport is approx 12 miles with Carisbrooke castle on its outskirts. All other Island attractions are easily reached by car or the bus service offers day or weekly rover tickets, available from the bus driver.

Further Details:

Freshwater village has local shops, a supermarket with post office, takeaways, banks and library. There is also a leisure centre with indoor swimming pool, gym and games facilities and a medical centre. There are many pubs in the area serving food especially in Yarmouth. A short walk along the beach brings you to Colwell bay where you can buy beach products or get a drink or an ice cream. There is also a beach retaurant there. Around the headland in Totland bay is the Waterfront bar, where you can enjoy a drink or meal and watch one of the beautiful sunsets we get here in the West Wight.The Island offers many attractions for all ages and all within easy reach. They include childrens attractions of Blackgang Chine, Robin Hill, Isle of Wight Zoo, Amazon World and Flamingo Park. Also places of interest such as Osborne House and Carrisbrooke castle and many more so never a dull moment.

Booking Notes:
Booking is normally Saturday to Saturday but we may consider short breaks in the low season. Please email with enquiries. A deposit of 20% of the rental price is required to secure your booking. The remaining amount will be due 4 weeks prior to the rental date. Arrangements will be made with you to collect and return the key. Sorry no dogs of other pets are allowed.

Changeover Day:
Saturday is normally changeover day. We request you do not arrive before 2pm and vacate the premises by 10am on day of departure.

Notes on prices:
Our rental prices are very good for this well equiped clean and comfortable bungalow. All gas and electricity is included in the price. Pay as you go WiFi is available on site.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
