Located just a 1 minute walk from the Oasis Parque leisure complex, this villa is ideally located in the Algarve for a family holiday. Oasis Parque is a beautiful country club offering the use of 2 large swimming pools and 2 children's pools, jacuzzi, tennis courts, playground and cafe/bar. Also within a short distance of rocha beach, the slide and splash watermark at Lagoa, autodrome do Algarve Motorsport track and the aqua shopping mall (which includes a primark) is within walking distance. The villa consists of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, balcony, fully paved rear garden and is air conditioned throughout.

Why Lesley Harris chose Portimão

We chose the oasis parque complex because it is secluded and quiet but is also close enough for the more action packed days. My children have grown up having their summer holidays at the villa and it is a treasured family possession.

What makes this villa unique

The villa has full access to the country club and is about 100 yards from the entrance. When the heat gets too much you can always come back to the villa and turn on the air con!

Outside: There is a fully paved rear garden area with outside furniture including 3 sun beds, table and chairs. A BBQ is available. There is a family size paddling pool available to use. This is situated in the outside cupboard. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, tennis racquets Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels are provided,property is cleaned before your arrival, additional cleans are available during your stay, payable locally. Other: Dining room with table that extends to sit 8 people. Balcony at front of villa overlooks entrance to Oasis Parque country club.

Good size but in need of some TLC

The best thing about this villa is its size and room arrangement. It is large enough to accommodate a multi generational family or group of friends.

There were plenty of towels and the bed was comfortable.

The down side is that it is in need of some major TLC and replacement or servicing of the more aged appliances. Whilst it has a new large screen TV, the dishwasher is only partially automatic and very inefficient, at the end of the holiday we resorted to sink and dishcloth. The BBQ was more rust than metal and the gas fire was reluctant to light, (needed out of season even in Portugal). The Air con units continued to blow cold air despite being set for warm.

A recycling system is in use in certain areas of Portugal including this one. Divided waste needs to be carried down the street to be deposited in the appropriate containers, however there is no indication of this in the villa, nor are there suitable receptacles provided.

The properties location is ideal for getting to the centre, however this is also the road used by some of the locals as a rat run and care needs to be taken.

With regard to the sports centre, the pool is excellent, but the heating was turned of along with the Jacuzzi. in our second week. The changing facilities are basic.

The complex shares that unloved feel prevalent in the villa and Portugal generally.

There appears to be a lack of understanding between the Owners and the site reception, we were instructed by the owners to contact reception with any problems, when we attempted to do so they denied any responsibility. Also the owners were less than responsive to any communication from us.

A simplifies 'Instruction manual' could be provided. The instruction to clean the villa on leaving is excessive considering a cleaning fee has been paid.

This property is more viable for a summer holiday than out of season, especially for the larger family.

We are in the process of updating the manual and will take on board your comments of producing a simplified version and also update it with regards to the recycling, cleaning, gas fire & air con heating instructions. With regards to the heated pool & jacuzzi, we will take this up with the leisure centre as they hadn't informed us and it should be open all winter. With regards to the the leisure centre reception, I suspect it may have just have been a "lost in translation" issue, they are correct in that they are not responsible for resolving any issues with the villa as they do not own the property, however they are your first point of contact locally and will liaise with us if needed (and did so on your behalf) and upon our authorisation will happily resolve issues. We are also happy to visitors to call/text/email us if you have a query, our contact details are on the front of the instruction manual left in the villa as well as on the booking forms you receive from us. Excellent stay at this Villa

The property was ideal for our holiday in the Algarve.

Great central location for visiting different areas along the coast and in land.

Easy access to very good facilities at Oasis Park, and within walking distance of supermarkets and, importantly, two excellent local restaurants.

The Villa was spacious, very well equipped and extremely comfortable.

'Feet up' time on the lounge furniture was very welcome!

We had a lovely holiday at Villa 20 . The villa is airy and spacious plenty room for 4 adults and 3 teenage children

More or less everything is provided, lots of towels, bedding, Cookware, although we did very little cooking as we used the BBQ provided

Enough outdoor seating for all of us, Villa clean plus lovely and cool due to shutters and a/c . Very close to clubhouse.

The owner Lesley very accommodating and helpful. The Oasis Parque complex is lovely, perfect place for families, close to local restaurant , supermarket , mall all within easy walking distance . We found taxis very cheap so did not bother with car hire.

Would definitely go there again

All of the the party would highly recommend Villa 20 and the Oasis Parque Resort.

The villa is situated 40 minutes from Faro airport, by car. Car hire is recommended but not essential as there are good taxi and bus services available at reasonable prices.
