About the property

Cottage in Dinas Cross, Nr. Newport Town, Pembrokeshire, Wales - Peaceful Location, 5 Minutes Walk To Its Own Beach

The Coach House is a rustic cottage facing south with wonderful views up over the Preseli Hills. It is in a secluded private farm courtyard at Ffynnonofi Farm, once a location for the John Huston film Moby Dick. The cottage is newly converted with terracotta stone floors, white washed walls, underfloor heating, a cosy wood burner and a large double bedroom with small en suite bathroom. It is superbly located for the Pembrokeshire Coastal path and it has it's own beach minutes walk away across our fields. There are areas to sit in the sun and have a barbecue and seats in sunny spots dotted around the farm buildings and garden. The cottage is spread over two floors. The ground floor is open plan making it a cosy place to prepare food and eat whilst the wood burner is blazing away. There is a desk and 'work area' for those who want to do something creative or maybe catch up with work. The upper floor has a main double bedroom with small en suite and a small rest room (dressing room) off it. There is a larger bathroom with shower and bath on the ground floor. The feel of the cottage is rustic and you'll find old welsh blankets, local slate sills and wooden oak beams rather than neat carpets!

Notes on accommodation: Please note that we charge for electricity via a digital eco meter. It is very simple. You pay for the electricity you use. Our electricity is bought from Ecotricity and is sourced from renewable sources only. We provide a free basket of seasoned firewood and then ask for £6 per basket after that. Outside: There is plenty of space to wander and sit. There is a wooden outdoor table at the front of the cottage and a terrace and chairs outside the bedroom on an upper level, with a small outdoor cast iron chiminea wood burner. There are also sun spots around the farm yard and garden which provide sun and protection at different times of the day. There is a walled garden in front of the Farmhouse which is available if no-one is staying in the Farmhouse (which is often the case). There is an old barn for bikes and canoes etc Utility Room: With washing machine and drying area. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: linen included. Towels not included. Cleaning on request.

If guests have to cancel their holiday more than 6 weeks from the start of their arrival date, then we will return all the funds, minus a 10% administrative cost. If a cancellation is made within 6 weeks of their holiday, then we will try and re-let the property and reimburse 75% of the funds if we successfully re-let the property. If we cannot re-let the property we reserve the right to keep 100% of the funds.
