The delights of Scotland’s capital city, Edinburgh, are only 40 minutes away. And throughout East Lothian there’s a choice of world class golf, offering demanding or relaxing games in parkland or links courses, with expansive views of land, sea and sky. Dunglass House is at the heart of this lovely rural estate, on the site of the original mansion house and close to the listed collegiate chapel (for anyone wanting to be married here). This charming house belies the quality of the space available for ten people, with big bedrooms, a conservatory to look out over the estate and a wood burning stove in the spacious lounge for winter nights. One of our trademarks is our crisp white linen, fluffy towels and robes in each room. Stable Cottage is part of the pretty courtyard that once housed the estate’s carriages and working vehicles. It was redecorated recently, sleeps 6 in comfort and boasts tasteful and modern furnishings. A large bright sitting room with wood burner and our quality linen, towels and robes make this a supremely peaceful place to spend your time. Laundry Cottage was extended in the 1920s and in keeping with the Dunglass commitment to comfort and hospitality, was refurbished in 2012. It sleeps 6 (with a sofa bed for 2 extra if needed) with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge to relax in. Sea fishing trips can be arranged from North Berwick, the home of the Scottish Seabird Centre. The Southern Upland Way and John Muir Way are nearby.
