About the Owner

Hi, we're Arwyn and Michelle. We moved to Pembrokeshire 3 years ago with our daughters Manon & Nia. Arwyn is originally from the area and Michelle is from Southampton. After some years away we both decided that Pembrokeshire and all its delights had won us over and we couldn't wait to make our home in this truly beautiful part of the world. There is so much to explore and with the changing seasons we could never tire of it. We live in the farmhouse nearby and are on hand if our guests need any help or advice about local places to visit but completely respect our guests' privacy and need for peace and solitude.

Perfect tranquil retreat

  • 5 of 5

This may be a boring review but everything was perfect. We arrived off the ferry from Ireland at 1am to a warm house with the keys ready for us and some tea, coffee, milk and a lovely large cake.

A beautifully equipped place with perfect linen, fantastically comfortable bed, stunning bathroom

I cannot find a single issue with y stores or the lovely, all accomadating owners

Thank you so much for making our holiday so pleasurable

A Perfect Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Y Storws is an amazing find. Cosy and comfortable with some lovely welcoming touches. Flowers and a beautiful home made lemon cake to greet us. The bed is pure luxury. Michelle the owner is the perfect hostess. The standard is 5 star throughout, and looks exactly as the pictures.

The weather wasn't too kind but getting out and about is easy from Y Storws. It's location in excellent. We visited Cilgerran Castle, Cwm-yr-Eglwys, walked along the estuary to Parog and the beach at St Dogmaels too. Cardigan is a lovely town with some lovely little shops to tempt you.

A return visit is definitely on the cards - so close to home but a great place to come and relax and recharge.

Thank you Arwyn and Michelle.

Escape To Tranquility

  • 5 of 5

What a fantastic 3 night staycation! The pictures had already wet both our appetites for what was set to be an escape from it all, back to the day of no mobile phones, no internet, no distractions mini break.

Y Storws certainly did not disappoint and we were greeted by a cosily warmed, exceptionally well finished cottage. We did not arrive until after darkness had fallen but upon entering the cottage instantly felt at home and set about settling in. Michelle (our gracious host) had thoughtfully left a letter personally welcoming us to the cottage and a freshly baked cake with cups set ready to enjoy a well earned cup of tea.

It rained most of the weekend but the cosy woodburner meant we never thought about the elements outside! The cottage is really well appointed and is a well thought out and lovingly restored cottage set to be enjoyed whilst you recharge those batteries!

We would highly recommend this place for many reasons but the views are fantastic, the bed is as others have said before, probably the most comfortable I have ever slept in and it simply ticks all the boxes when you are seeking that extra level of creature comfort to call your 'home from home' for a few days.

We have taken fond memories from our stay at Y Storws and have already begun to discuss our return visit if only for nostalgia's sake and to fondly remember our comment left in the guest book!

This would be ideal for a couple of any age and you absolutely won't be disappointed!

Thank you for a perfect little getaway!

Cosy getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderfully relaxing midweek break in Y Storws. We were lucky with the weather and were able to get our on our bikes and for a couple of nice walks. The cottage is ideally located, only a short drive from the coast and with walks right from the door. It was a real bonus to come back after a chilly day and warm up by the log burner. We couldn't have asked for a more idyllic location for a peaceful getaway. The cottage itself had everything we needed. It exceeded our expectations and certainly lived up to the photos we'd seen prior to booking. Thank you Michelle for the warm welcome and the Welsh cakes!

Fabulous Christmas

  • 5 of 5

Top class accommodation and a friendly welcome from the owner who also supplied a beautiful Christmas tree, a bottle of Prosecco and a lovely homemade cake on arrival. We would definitely recommend this property as it is ideal for two people (plus dog) wanting to 'get away' from it all. The food at The Golden Lion in Newport was excellent! We also enjoyed looking at the sheep out of the window every morning! We hope to be back in the Spring/Summer.

What a great long weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in a great many holiday properties throughout the UK and this is up in our top three!

Being Interior Designers we are rather hard to please and can only say WOW. The attention to detail, quality of finish and design is excellent. Although it looks small from the outside it is deceptively spacious within.

It was also great to have such a large meadow to stroll around right outside the property with our dog.

The sense of isolation surprising, we would normally steer away from a property adjacent to an Owners' residence however Y Storws works really well in terms of privacy and outlook.

Michelle was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area.

Michelle's other property across the farm yard is also amazing and well worth a look at for larger parties.

We are already planning our next trip!
