Apartment in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote, Canary Islands - Quiet Location, Just 5 Minutes Walk To The Shops And Restaurants And 10 Minutes To The Beach

Isla de Lobos is a very quiet street, just 10 minutes walk from the resort centre where there is a large, white sandy beach called Playa de Cucharas. There are many restaurants, souvenir shops and a dive centre. The apartment complex is well maintained and has a lovely swimming pool and gardens. The property has its own off road parking space. The rooms are large and bright, certainly enough space for 6 people to have a relaxing holiday. As well as the inside dining area there is also a table and chairs for "al fresco" dining and a couple of sun loungers for soaking up the rays in private. The golf course and water park are just a 5 minute drive away. There is an Aquarium very close by as well as a Spar supermarket and car hire shop, just a couple of minutes walk from the complex.

My name is Amanda Taylor and I live in Lanzarote with my husband, Richard and our son Charlie. We moved here nearly seven years ago and decided to build a house in the middle of the Island. While our house was being built, we bought La Casita as a new build, in the marina Rubicon. We could see the potential of having a small house in this new development. We also enjoy sailing which is another reason for having a house near a marina.

Very spacious apartment and pool excellent

We have come to Lanzarote for over 20 years and always stayed in Costa Teguise. We have stayed in many villas in same area but could not get booked up and had heard about San Jacinto complex from friends. We were very impressed, the description of the property was very accurate, it is indeed very spacious, very clean and very comfortable. Only negative we could give was the lack of cooking equipment. We don't cook as we prefer to eat out other than breakfast, but if a family was selt catering then I think there would be a problem. My advise to anyone staying in the area would be to just get out and about and head for the sea and try the many bars and restaurants as there are far too many good ones to mention. If you happen to see Pablo's Restaurant or Erik's Bar on your travels then I would recommend a visit. The only problem we had, which we sorted ourselves, was with cockroaches in the kitchen area only. My wife absolutely hates anything that flies or crawls and was ready to move out. Using the spray provided however seemed to clear them out. Having said that my wife and I would definately stay again and would advise anyone to give it a try. The ground are kept spotless, the pool was cleaned most days, the complex is very quiet and the view from the balcony at night is amazing. Happy holidays.

We enjoyed a 2week holiday here, the villa is beautiful very clean and spacious, you are only a 5 min stroll to the beach, bars and restaurant's, there is a spar supermarket just at the bottom of the path and a few bars there too, try cactus jacks for a 3 course meal plenty to choose from for only €9, very friendly staff there too. We are a family if 3, our 7 year old son and ourselves loved this house with its fully equipped kitchen, a full bathroom both downstairs and upstairs, bedrooms are really big, in fact the pictures don't show the real size of the rooms, so much bigger in reality, we loved having breakfast on the patio with the sea views. We had a nice surprise we we arrived a lovely welcome pack and we met Amanda who is a very lovely lady.

We have decided never to stay in a hotel again and if in the future we return to costa tequise we will definitely stay here again. I have to just mention not faults but things that can get changed in the future, lack of WiFi also the tv could do with being updated, that's all I can find lacking here. So thank you Amanda and owners direct for the best holiday we have ever had.see you again in the future

Superb villa and location.

This super spacious villa was plenty big enough for our party of 5 adults and 2 young children. Clean and well equipped with a high chair and cot. Pool was 2 minutes away with a gated entrance. There is a lovely sea view from the patio and upper balcony. The villa is well placed in a nice quiet location and only a 10 mins stroll to the local bars and restaurants. Would definately recommend this villa.

A great base for a holiday in Costa Teguise

This is a beautifully clean, well maintained property. The apartment is large and simply furnished. It is located a short walk from a well stocked Spar supermarket and a few bars.

We decided to hire a car which was a help as it is quite a long walk to the beach and to the centre of Costa Teguise where we ate in the evenings.

There were a couple of issues with the property. There are only mirrors in the bathrooms and one of the three bedrooms, only one of the bedrooms had a bedside lamp and the plumbing in the upstairs bathroom sink requires attention. Ceiling fans would have been desirable as it was very hot at night.

Whilst the property boasts a pool, there are no sun loungers by the pool. You would either have to lie on the floor or a lilo if you wanted to sunbathe by the pool. This probably accounts for why hardly anyone uses the pool. The apartment only has two sun loungers on the balcony, meaning on 2 out of six guests can lie out in the sun at any one time.

I would certainly use the apartment again, as car hire was cheap and easy and the parking space outside the door made it safe.

Food in Costa Teguise varied in price and quality. The best lunch time food could be found at Sands Beach Resort. A good menu that wasn't too expensive but always delivered a good quality meal.

Beautiful apartment

I stayed at the duplex with two friends for a week at the end of January. Before we arrived the owner had sent us detailed directions (the duplex is no more than 20 minutes from the airport) and access arrangements, both worked like a dream.

The duplex was spotlessly keen and a very welcome bottle of wine (and some other goodies) was waiting for us along with a comprehensive guide to the facilities and the area’s attractions etc.

Depending on whether you take the winding path (which is quite steep) or the more gentle footpath you are either a 5 or 10 minute walk away Playa de Cucharas with a well stocked SPAR supermarket on the way. The location is well set back from very quiet roads at the front and back.

Everything about the duplex was exactly as described with a change of towels as promised, all the rooms were far bigger than we expected. The kitchen was fully equipped with plenty of crockery, glassware for our needs. We didn’t do much cooking but had we wanted to there was an ample selection of pans etc. The balcony was more than big enough for our needs and a real sun trap. The pool area was practically empty the whole time we were and the small complex the apartment sits in is extremely well maintained (we saw the pool being cleaned twice during our stay).

We have been to Costa Teguise a number of times so had a few ‘must go to’ restaurants on our list, including Montmarte, Oscars and El Navara (which was the standout meal), these are all around Playa Bastian and we took taxis which were really very cheap, we also visited more than a few bars around Costa Teguise all of which we enjoyed.

We visited Marian Rubicon, Playa Blanca and Puerto Calero, all of which were beautiful with lots and lots and lots of shops, bars and restaurants.

All in all we had a lovely time, the duplex was good value for money and the owners couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating, we will definitely stay at any of their other properties on the island for our next trip.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Arrecife at 20 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Las Cucharas at 0.5 Kilometres Car: not necessary


There are two main beaches in Costa Teguise, Playa Cucharas which is a 10 minute walk away, and Playa Bastian which is about a 15 minute away. Both beaches have white sand plenty of restaurants and bars near by.


Arrecife airport is a 15 minute drive away.


Puerto del Carmen - 15km

Playa Blanca - 40km

Arrieta - 10km

Further Details:

There is a local Spar supermarket just a few minutes walk away from the complex. The Euro Spar supermarket can be found at the entrance to Costa Teguise and is the largest in the area. Just a short distance away, in Arrecife, there is an Ikea and Lidl.

A must for young children is the Rancho Texas park. Open every day. They have parrot, bird of prey and sea lion shows. They also have a small water park. For older children, the water park in Costa Teguise is a must.

Lanzarote has two sport marinas in Puerto Calero and Marina Rubicon in Playa Blanca. There are some excellent restaurants and designer shops in both.

Every Friday evening there is an artisan market in Pueblo Marinero in Costa Teguise. For market lovers, the Sunday market in Teguise is a huge market with local music and typical tapas bars.
