A 1st floor, 2 bedroom apartment (full refurbishment completed summer 2014), set in a quiet & private garden complex, occupied by residents and holiday guests and opposite the popular 'little beach' and children’s playground at Via Cru, Santa Ponca. There is private parking inside the gated complex and additional off road free parking. This property is suitable for those with or without a car as amenities are all within walking distance, and the 104 bus stops directly outside the complex in both directions. A 5 minute walk in to the friendly Club Nautico, and only 10 minute stroll into central Santa Ponca, boasting a larger beach, bars, restaurants, shopping and water sports. It is a 5-minute drive or bus journey to Santa Ponca Golf and the spectacular Port Adriano.

About Lee & Nichola

We are in our early 40s and we have been visiting the area of Calvia in Majorca for 20 years and our love of the Island has not changed. It has long been a dream to own a property in SW Majorca and we made a family decision to buy this 1st floor apartment. We absolutely saw the potential in the property and bought it over other properties due to the location, it's tranquil setting and it's spacious rooms.

Why Lee & Nichola chose Calvia

Majorca is a beautiful Island and the Calvia area around Portals, El Toro and Santa Ponca has been a home from home for us. We are familiar with the local beaches and resorts and have enjoyed the ongoing development improving the area. We aim to use the apartment ourselves and for friends and family. Purchased in September 2013, out with the old and in with the new, ready for the 2014 season. It has been a labour of love and it will be an ongoing project to maintain it to our high standards whilst keeping it affordable for others. The 1st floor is literally just up 10 or so steps. There is a gate fob to drive a car to the steps. It boasts a gas combi boiler and induction hob, high end finishing to be enjoyed.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is in a perfect location for those with or without a car. The block is directly opposite 1 of many playparks and a beach. The gardens are stunning and well maintained. There is a main pool & toddler pool. Its quiet with the resort of Santa Ponsa a 5 minuite walk. There are many local alternative beaches and ports which are in easy reach as there is a discreet taxi park and bus stop right outside the front gates. The furniture and kitchen have been imported from the UK. We chose extra comfy beds and bedding of our own high standards. We cater for parties with children and single adults of up to 4. We would like to welcome people who treat our home away from home with TLC.

  • A large and modern family bathroom with bath under window (and over bath shower fitting for hair washing), a separate walk in shower, 2 separate sink units, each with a mirrored wall cabinet, soft close wc, 3 plug points & window. We didn't fit blinds as it is a frosted glass and high window. 6 LED spot lights for a super bright bathroom, clinical clean look with all white furniture with a grey tile floor, great light for make-up application!

Notes on accommodation: It is a fully refurbished apartment and in immaculate condition with a high end, clean finish. Outside: Patio furniture (table, bench & 2 chairs) are provided on the balcony. The complex is in a gated community and there is a large swimming pool and tranquil gardens which are maintained on a regular basis. 2 fold up and easiliy carried sun loungers available for use by our guests. Utility Room: The utility room hosts a washing machine, clothes maiden, iron, ironing board, and stores a combi boiler and cylinder, baby high chair, travel cot, maclaren buggy, vacuum & steam cleaners plus, 2 outdoor sun lungers for use by our guests. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: On arrival the apartment will be immaculate, the beds are made up with fresh bedding and we offer towels for use in the apartment, (no beach towels included). Additional cleaning for long stays is available at an additional charge. Other: A long corridor separates the living area from the bedroom and bathroom area. It is a well lit and well aired corridor with two windows with curtains and shutters.

A little secret gem in Santa Ponsa!

Upon first impressions, the apartment was in a nice and quiet complex with well maintained gardens and a nice sized pool which was never too busy! The apartment itself had a large balcony with pegs and drying rails bigger than the pictures suggest overlooking the pool area. The apartment was absolutely beautiful, so clean, fresh and modern. The interiors were very tasteful with white walls and grey soft furnishings in the living area. The tv was a good size with plenty of Sky channels. The corner sofa was very comfy, perfect for relaxing on after a long day on the resort's sandy beach! The apartment was also very light and airy and had good air con units in all bedrooms and the living/kitchen area. The 2nd bedroom was a good size with plenty of storage space and two extremely comfy single beds. The master bedroom was huge, again complete with plenty of cupboard space and a very large comfy bed and there was also a lockable door from the master bedroom leading to the utility area complete with a Samsung washing machine, which comes in handy when spending two weeks abroad. The bathroom was again extremely modern and spacious with two mirrored sinks and a separate walk in shower which was lovely. A little shelf in the shower may come in handy for placing shower gel on. The wifi was generally good, there were one or two occasions were the signal dropped, however we soon managed to fix this. The apartment in general was well equipped with for example, fold up sun loungers for the complex's pool, we didn't use the pool though as we do prefer the beach. We may have been more inclined to sit at the pool area had it had sun loungers, but this didn't impact on us still having a wonderful holiday. The location is across the road from a little sandy beach which is mainly used by locals, we did visit this beach one day and it was nice. The apartment is also across the road from a bus stop taking you to Palma City which is well worth a visit! The resort's main beach and centre is around a 10-15 min stroll from the apartment, however we felt this walk was worth it as the apartment is absolutely gorgeous and is near faultless. We will definitely be back! Thank you Nicola and Lee for an unforgettable stay in your apartment.

Lovely apartment in an ideal location

The complex is perfect for families, with a main pool and children's pool, plenty of space around the pool for sunbathing and really near the beach, shops and restaurants.

The apartment is very spacious and nicely maintained with everything you need including air conditioning and wifi. The balcony looks over the pool area.

There were 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 teenage boys and it was absolutely perfect and we would all go back again! Thank you!

Excellent stay

We spend a lot of time looking for a holiday home with two small children in tow (4 and 1). Nichola and Lee's apartment was perfect. The complex was lovely with well maintained gardens and lovely main and smallwr/children's pool. We had a 10 minute stroll to the main beach and just across the road was the play park and small beach. So location was great. Small supermarket 100m away and next door to a greengrocer. Internally the apartment is modern, was very clean and very well equipped. For us this meant a travel cot, highchair and stool for the bathroom. All of these things were taken out of cupboards so if you don't have kids you wouldn't notice. The apartment is perfect for two or four people. Finally, a big thank you to Lee and Nichola who were excellent hosts. I asked a lot to questions in advance and they were very accommodating in allowing us early entry and afternoon departure. I couldn't recommend this apartment enough.

beautiful property

Family of 4 (2 teenagers) stayed very comfortably in this apartment.

It is very close (2 mins walk) to a lovely little beach which has a bar just opposite for lunch.

The apartment was very modern and tastefully decorated with loads of equipment.

We would definately stay here again even if we came without the kids as it was the perfect location for us and had everything we needed.

Lovely apartment

We have just stayed here recently and had a lovely time in this modern apartment. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay for a family. Owners very helpful and found it easy to communicate with them. The pools were great apart from the big pool being very deep and can't touch the bottom so need to be careful with children.

The 'little beach' (Pellicer Beach) is 100 metres from the gated complex and the main beach of Santa Ponsa is a 5 minute walk (10 minute stroll).

Nearby Travel:

Palma airport is 25 minutes drive, the port is of similar distance.

Car Hire is not essential as the 104 bus between Peguera and Palma is every 20 minutes.

The apartment is a 5 minute walk or a 10 minute stroll into Santa Ponca.

The city of Palma is a 20 minute drive or 1-hour by bus.

The exclusive Puerto Portals at Portals Nous is 15-minutes by car, 40-minutes by bus.

Port Adriano is a 5-minute drive, 10-minutes by bus.

Magaluf is a 10 minute drive, 20-minutes by bus.

Other towns of interest within a 1 hour drive (that we personally recommend) are Port d'Andratx and the Stunning Valldemossa in the mountains.

Further Details:

We love it due to its tranquil family setting, snorkelling and rock pool adventures.

There is a handful of eateries and coffee shops at this beach 2 minutes outside the front entrance of the complex. The apartment is in easy reach of many other popular resorts:

The beaches of Santa Ponca are cleaned and sunbeds are available.

There are water sports and boat trips available at the main beach and a diving centre and restaurants in the opposite direction, just a five minute stroll to club Nautico.

Jungle Parc for rope swing and tree climbing is just outside the entrance of club Nautico.

Puerto Portals is the very smart marina attached to the town of Portal Nous. Glamorous shopping, fascinating people watching, inexpensive drinking and eating is available amongst the posh nosh eateries , and of course, the flashy boats moored in the marina. It boasts a stunning beach to the far end of the maria with a beach shop and cafes and more water sports.

Port Adriano is another multi million pound port, invested and improved in the last 5-years, albeit quieter than Portals Nous it is fantastic to shop and people watch . We recommend crew bar on the new top deck for drinks, music and a game of pool. The original port side is more suitable for family dining.

Magaluf boasts the western water park, the famous pirates acrobat show and a crazy golf venue at the upside down house 'golf Vantazia. ' We highly recommend the resort to dip in to and enjoy for family fun in the daytime and adult all nighters. The rumour is Magaluf is the next resort to gain multi million pound investment in Calvia.

We recommend day trips to Andratx, of course Palma and the beautiful mountain town of Valldemossa (the motorway route via Palma being much quicker to Valldemossa).

Our favourite Beach locally is Cala Comtesa next to Illetes just 10-minutes away by road.
