About the property

The mountain views are breathtaking and it’s just a short walk to the beach!

B8 Laurier is part of a tranquil complex situated on the west coast of the island in Flic-en-Flac. This touristic area is renowned for its luxurious, shimmering, white sandy beach, which stretches for over five kilometres, its restaurants serving Mauritian delicacies, and for Casela Nature Park, which could be described as a zoo with a safari theme. The apartment is only 300 metres from the beach and, within a one-kilometre radius, you will find all your basic holiday needs: supermarkets, snack bars, licensed bars, restaurants and car rental. Daytime activities include water sports and diving classes.

As you enter through the gate of Le Laurier you will pass through an alleyway of palm trees and bushes in bloom. This alleyway leads to the staircase and to the shared – usually unoccupied – swimming pool. Surrounded by deckchairs, the pool is an ideal spot for relaxing in the shade of the coconut trees. It is worth noting that this swimming pool never gets direct sunlight, which means that you can spend hours around the pool without the risk of sunburn.

Arriving on the third floor, you will certainly enjoy the splendid view of the pool and the garden around the complex. You will also catch a glimpse of the beach, which is just a few minutes away. In the living room, you can relax on the spacious two-seater cosy couch, perhaps doing nothing more than enjoying an evening film on the 32-inch flat-screen TV. The kitchen has a modern look and is well equipped with oven, induction cooktop, microwave and coffee maker. Through the door leading to the terrace, you can’t fail to be awestruck by the magnificent mountain views – like a picturesque painting – a constant reminder of how beautiful and magical this place really is! We’ve arranged an unlimited Internet connection via Wi-Fi so that you can share these exceptional moments with your loved ones.

The bathroom is equipped with a washing machine and an ironing board, under which there is a storage area. There is a clothes line on the small terrace to dry your laundry after the wash.

The mountain views can also be enjoyed through the windows of the bedroom, which is furnished beautifully in modern and tropical style. There is also a digital safe in the wardrobe for secure storage of valuables as required. On the bed you can sink into a thick and comfortable mattress; there is luxurious bedding with synthetic, hypoallergenic pillows. The air conditioning in the bedroom ensures a comfortable temperature for a good night’s sleep.

The terrace with amazing panoramic mountain views is covered with an attractive synthetic lawn giving you the feeling of being in a magical garden. You can relax on one of the deckchairs and just admire the surroundings while being caressed by a gentle breeze. This is surely the ideal place to chill out!

Whenever we want to get away from the hectic working life, we just get a flight to Mauritius and enjoy the sea breeze, the mountain scenery, and the combination of silence and beauty. It is close to almost everything we need: beach, spa, massage, bar, restaurants, grocery shops – and especially the hawkers of pickled fruit!

Being a small complex of only eight apartments, Le Laurier is very quiet most of the time.

Brand new apartment, super clean, fully equipped, 3 minutes walk from the beach. Owners and property manager very friendly and easy to communicate with. Restaurants, supermarket, bars etc all within minutes walk. Flic en Flac (small town where the apartment is located) is very nicely situated, very short drive from Casela, Black River National Park, Chamarel, Botanical Garden and other attractions. In general Mauritius is relatively small (45km by 65 km), and reasonably good roads, so everything is easily accessible! And there is so much to see! :) We loved staying in this apartment and our holiday in Mauritius! Ps. Property is on the 3rd floor with no elevator, so maybe not suitable for everyone. We found a stairs to be an easy climb and actually loved that we are high up, as no one was overlooking our balconies (there are 2 balconies, one facing mountains, one beach - (not a direct sea view))

Notes on accommodation: Within walking distance of the apartment you will find restaurants serving a range of local and international food, supermarkets, water-sports facilities and the famous beach of sparkling white sand. All the important amenities are located within a one-kilometre radius – please consult the property guide where almost everything is listed. Outside: The swimming pool is a shared one, but usually unoccupied since the other flats are empty most of the time. This means that you should be able to enjoy the pool in privacy. For sunbathing, we've set up an amazing terrace garden with deckchairs. Make the most of it! Utility Room: All the equipment available is listed in an inventory, which is usually attached to the sample tenancy agreement. We can send this to you at the enquiry stage. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The housekeeping service is available as an option for £10 per session. We provide sufficient towels and linen but if you are staying for an extended period without the housekeeping service, you will need to take care of the washing.

Great property, well equipped, clean and exactly as the photos depicted. Excellent location, very close to beach and amenities. Friendly helpful owners. Property had everything you needed for a relaxing stay at a budget price. Good wifi. I highly recommend this apartment. We will definitely stay here when visiting Mauritius again
