There is a terrace in front of the Cottage with a table and chairs, a patio to the side with loungers in the Summer and a barbecue. Within the garden, and secured by a lockable gate, there is a designated off street space for guest parking. The oak stairs (not steep) lead to the double bedroom with en suite roomy shower and wc .

All linens are provided and included in the cost of rental. All of the rooms in the Cottage have a lovely aspect onto the pretty garden, charming at any time of year. About the property

Cherry Tree & Apple Tree Cottage are set in a quiet location in a pretty orchard style garden, yet are only a 5 minute walk from the centre of the charming medieval town of Honfleur. At the centre of the old town is the harbour which is surrounded by a large selection of shops, cafes, restaurants, museums and art galleries.

Each cottage has its own off street parking space in the garden area.

The cottages were recently constructed in 2014 and are traditionally built with oak, flint and terracotta tiles but have the modern advantage of double glazing and high insulation. Each cottage has a double bedroom with pocket sprung mattress, an open plan living area, and a modern and spacious shower room with toilet. The living area has easy chairs and TV (UK freesat), a dining area and fully equipped kitchen area. There is free Wifi.

Each cottage has its own terrace with chairs and table and there is also a patio area with extra seating all overlooking the pretty garden with its mature cherry tree, plum tree and a new apple tree.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Cherry Tree Cottage has just been completed and our first guests were ones that had previously stayed in Honfleur when we had an apartment. They were delighted with the property and the setting and will be back next year.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

Quiet and peaceful location, but only a few minutes walk into town, along streets immortalised by Monet. Honfleur a bustling place with a lot of history and beautiful buildings. Many restaurants offering fantastic food.

Very comfortable, warm cottage within five minutes or so walking distance to a supermarket, bakers (which could not be bettered), deli, cheese shop, I could go on. Great to have a safe parking space behind locked gates, very much needed in this area as parking is at a premium even in December. Everything just as shown in the photos and directions were excellent. The delightful owners arrived while we were there for a few days. We are sure we will be returning to this little bit of calm and tranquillity. Thanks, Annie & John x

Two weeks in Cherry Tree Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Everything about Cherry Tree Cottage was as described to us. It was well-equipped, spacious enough for 2 people, and was ideally situated for getting to the local sights and attractions. Overall it was clean when we arrived, although we did find some cob-webs behind the TV, but generally well maintained.. The bed was very comfortable, and the en-suite was perfect for our use. We sat in the garden a lot, and that also made our stay so much more relaxing.

The owners provided excellent customer service, and were actually present in their own house for our second week. We have known them for over 10 years, and we knew we would not be disappointed with the accommodation.

We can thouroughly recommend this property, and indeed, will recommend it to friends and family.

The harbour is only a short walk away, with plenty of eating places, although there are a few inclines on the way, so mobility issues could be a factor in accessing the local interests. Plenty of places to visit, and local markets in the town every week. The local community was very very friendly and welcoming, and needless to say, the local food was excellent.

Cherry Tree Cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage, with it's own car parking, a great bonus, is situated just a five minute walk from the wonderful harbour town of Honfleur. Everything about the property exceeded our expectations. Starting with the comprehensive directions we were given, and including comfort, cleanliness, all facilities, including UK TV and free wifi, could not have been any better. We will definitely book again in a couple of years time Aand have no hesitation in recommending this property to our friends.

Beautiful holiday home

  • 5 of 5

This property has been tastefully and thoughtfully renovated, resulting in an extremely comfortable and well equipped holiday destination, in a quiet and private location, but only minutes away from the throng of Honfleur harbour. The bed is exceptionally comfortable, with top quality bedding and towels provided - and the bed is big enough to accommodate my 6'6" husband - a rarity! The parking space is essential in Honfleur, as the town and harbour are best explored on foot, and parking a nightmare. The owners were welcoming and helpful, but not intrusive.

We highly recommend this property, and have no doubt that these two properties will be fully booked very quickly. A great place for a couple to make their escape - within easy reach of the Channel crossings.
