About the property

FR23357

Cherry Tree & Apple Tree Cottage are set in a quiet location in a pretty orchard style garden, yet are only a 5 minute walk from the centre of the charming medieval town of Honfleur. At the centre of the old town is the harbour which is surrounded by a large selection of shops, cafes, restaurants, museums and art galleries.

Each cottage has its own off street parking space in the garden area.

The cottages were recently constructed in 2014 and are traditionally built with oak, flint and terracotta tiles but have the modern advantage of double glazing and high insulation. Each cottage has a double bedroom with a 1.4 metre (4ft 6in) bed with pocket sprung mattress, an open plan living area, and a modern and spacious shower room with toilet. The living area has easy chairs and TV (UK freesat), a dining area and fully equipped kitchen area. There is free Wifi.

Each cottage has its own terrace with chairs and table and there is also a patio area with extra seating all overlooking the pretty garden with its mature cherry tree, plum tree and a new apple tree.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Cherry Tree Cottage has just been completed and our first guests were ones that had previously stayed in Honfleur when we had an apartment. They were delighted with the property and the setting and will be back next year.

Fabulous

Excellent location, accommodation of very good standard and a great garden which our dog loved. Short walk to town centre so car rarely used. Honfleur is wonderful - there's much to see & do. We'll be back

  • 5 of 5

Ideally located close to the town. So peaceful , woke in the morning to the sunshine coming through the windows. Sound of birds singing. So tranquil. Accommodation perfect, very high standard. Already planing to go again later on in the year and definitely be going back next year.

One of the best holidays I have had. Thanks.

Lovely little cottage

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at Apple Tree cottage. Very short walk to centre of Honfleur which is very pretty and has many lovely restaurants. Cottage very well equiped wIth a well kept garden to sit in. The only slight down side were the arm chairs. They are very low backed and not very comfy after a day of sightseeing! This aside we really enjoyed our stay at the cottage and the car parking was an added bonus.

Great base for exploring Honfleur and nearby coastline

  • 5 of 5

A perfectly formed, well equipped cottage which is only a 5 minute stroll to the centre of Honfleur provided a dog-friendly base for our week's stay. An early morning hike with the dog up to the top of the Cote de Grace and then along to the Church and then down to the Harbour, picking up some freshly made croissants on the way back to the cottage, was a favourite walk of mine. Honfleur has lots of great, dog-friendly restaurants and bars. We also explored the Normandy coast - though a lot of the beaches aren't particularly dog-friendly but the beach near Merville was excellent. A lovely week was had by all - including the dog!

Great location

  • 5 of 5

Quiet and peaceful location, but only a few minutes walk into town, along streets immortalised by Monet. Honfleur a bustling place with a lot of history and beautiful buildings. Many restaurants offering fantastic food.
