Why mary chose Cannes - Grasse - Antibes

I bought this property off plan in 2004 as a holiday apartment. I enjoyed living in this area so much that I decided to move here permanently. The location was excellent to stay put and enjoy Juan les Pins, the sun, the beach, the sea and local restuarants or to go further afield - to Nice, Monaco and into Italy on the train or bus.

What makes this apartment unique

Very close to the beach, good local transport services with a bus stop right outside the property. Supermarket, bars, restaurants on the doorstep less than 5 minutes walk away Modern with air conditioning, wi fi and video entryphone and security. South facing balcony - able to eat outside all day and evening.

LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!

I spent two months in Juan-les-Pines, May and June. I immediately liked this property when I first saw it on line. It was a winner!

It looked as exactly as it was depicted. The kitchen had just about everything I could possible need since I did a lot of cooking, being here a long time. Spent many lovely breakfasts and afternoons on the balcony.

The "pink" bus stopped right out front and I used it many times to travel to Antibes as well as other spots nearby. At 1 Euro, what a bargain. The gold bus that went to Nice and Cannes, and made connections to several other towns was only 2 blocks away, and 1.50 Euro. I went to the Tourist Office and received much information, maps, bus schedules, from them. It was about a 15 minute walk, as was the train station for further trips. A wonderful market, SPAR, was 2 1/2 blocks down the street. Fresh fruits and vegetables were great and they had everything you could possibly want inside. The wine, cheese and bakery selections assured me I was in France. Be sure you take a shopping bag or you will have to buy one. I left one in the apartment.

My landlady, Mary Temple, was so helpful. She gave me lots of pointers, directions, suggestions, etc.

I visited Nice, Cannes, and Antibes several times, as well as Grasse, Biot, Vance, St. Paul de Vance, Monte Carlo and Menton. Being only 2 1/2 blocks from the sandy beach I enjoyed many lovely afternoons there.

My favorite restaurant, 2 blocks away, was L'Horizon on the promenade. The owners spoke English, the food was made to order, and sometimes she even made something not on the menu if I let her know a few days before. I ate at lots of other cafes and bistros and honestly never had a bad meal. The WiFi was always working and I enjoyed the CDs and DVDs that were in the apartment. I didn't bother with the TV, didn't have enough time! I did use my Netflix when I was home.

No matter how long you plan to stay in this part of France you cannot go wrong with this property. This trip was #1 on my bucket list and I have to say it was a dream come true and staying here was a big contributing factor. MERCI!

Excellent Apartment

Well appointed, comfortable apartment, in a great location for reaching beaches, restaurants, bars etc. Mary, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful when it came to knowledge about the local area. Will hopefully return sometime in the not too distant future.

COMFORTABLE STAY IN PLEASANT APARTMENT

This apartment catered for all our needs for our holiday in June in Juan les Pins. Everything was provided for, even an umbrella for these hot days on the beautiful beach. The property was clean and Mary the owner renewed our towels and bed linen after 6 days as we were staying for a further 4 days. The apartment was very central and you could walk to promenade in less than 5 minutes. All the main shops and restaurants were within easy walking distance. Transport links were also very good with bus stop outside apartment and train station within a 10/15 minute walk and transport was inexpensive. Mary was very helpful in assisting us with planning our trips to St Paul de Vence, Cannes, etc. as she was with all aspects pertaining to the apartment. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great location

Just back from an enjoyable trip in Juan Les Pins. Was a bit apprehensive given stayed in Antibes previous years and the accessibility to local transport but there was no need to be this apartment couldn't be positioned better for transport. We took the bus from the airport and it stops a few minutes from the front door of the apartment. Local bus to Antibes also right outside the door. If you like the beach it was clean, not busy and very close by. Apartment very clean and has everything you need for a short break. Balcony a big bonus! Mary went out her way to make sure our stay went off to a good start and saw us off at the end. Would recommend this apartment for exploring the south of France.

A Real Home away from Home

After a long journey by TGV from Paris, the owner Mary Temple was at the apartment to welcome us and generally run over the details of the property for our comfort.

We found the apartment fresh, very clean and very well fitted out with everything we could possibly require right down to a sewing kit!!, including excellent Wi-Fi and satellite TV.. Mary was always available to offer help and advice.

The apartment was well situated close to all amenities including excellent restaurants, supermarkets both large and small and wonderful patisseries. There was an excellent bus service with stops very close to the front entrance of the building.

While we were there the weather was fantastic with record temperatures - so the air conditioning in the apartment was most welcome and the terrace that ran the full length of the apartment was a real suntrap.

The walk to the beautiful, safe and very clean beach took approximately 5 - 7 minutes. In the evenings we enjoyed walking along the promenade after dinner and listening to the waves.

All in all we would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and indeed hope to return next year either in June or September as we found the high summer heat just a bit too much for us.
