The cottage makes an ideal base for a relaxing or active holiday as its setting provides easy access to paths up Snowdon, yet it is only 8 miles from the coast and a mile from Beddgelert Forest. You can walk, bike ride, horse ride, climb, canoe, sail, play golf, fish or just relax. The village of Beddgelert has a number of pubs - some of them dog friendly - cafes, tea rooms and shops offering local crafts and produce. It also has an award winning Ice Cream Parlour with attached pizza place where you bring your own wine no corkage charged. Most of the pubs serve food and the Hebog Bistro does breakfast, lunch and evening meals (booking is advised). Amongst the other amenities are a post office and well stocked general store.

About Lynn Price

I live on the side of Moel Hebog overlooking the village of Beddgelert along with my dog Joe. I moved here from Manchester 10 years ago and have never looked back. We enjoy everything the area has to offer, from forest and lakeside walks to strolls on the nearby beach.

Lynn Price purchased this cottage in 2012

Why Lynn Price chose Beddgelert

Although I live slightly away from the village I enjoy all the amenities there and when Gwynfa went up for sale I saw the potential to extend it and make it into a home. I decided to let it out until I am ready to move into myself.

What makes this cottage unique

Gwynfa is close to all the village amenities, has it's own private patio overlooking the river towards Meol Hebog and boasts an off road parking space.

Lovely cottage in fantastic location

  • 5 of 5

We've been staying Beddgelert for many years and were delighted to have found Lynn's comfortable cottage in its excellent location. The village centre, with its shops, cafés and pubs, is only moments away and - often unusually for Beddgelert - having its own parking space adds to the convenience. The view across the river from the rear patio (and kitchen/rear bedroom windows) is lovely. Lynn greeted us in person on arrival and, while showing us round, we could see straightaway that all the previous reviews we'd read saying "Lynn has thought of and included everything you could need" really are all totally true. Thank you Lynn, we'll most certainly be back.

Owner's Response: Thank you Anne for such a great review. I am pleased you had everything you needed and wanted. My aim, after many years of self catering, is to make Gwynfa a place that I would like to stay. I look forward to seeing you on a return visit.

A beautiful cottage ideally set in the centre of Beddgelert

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was in an ideal situation for us to have access to the surrounding countryside. It was very well equipped and lots of space. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the river was delightful. Beds were comfortable and the cottage so well maintained. We'd love to go back again!

Can we keep this secret!

  • 5 of 5

A lovely, well equipped and spacious holiday home. A short walk from the village with it's shops and eateries.

You could leave the car parked all week and use the local buses, Welsh Highland railway and your feet to get around.

We will return as we still have lots to do.

Lovely cottage in a stunning location

  • 5 of 5

A bright and airy cottage which has been furnished to a very high standard, everything was spotlessly clean and Lynne's thoughtful touches made us feel at home straight away. We really enjoyed our daily walks into the village and along the river. Beddgelert is a great location for exploring beautiful Snowdonia.

Stayed here with family. The cottage is well equipped and the stream that runs at the back has a really relaxing sound. The owner couldn't have been more helpful. We had a great time here and in Beddgelert and surrounding areas as hope to be back very soon.
