Apartment in St Ives, Cornwall, England - Tranquil Location 5-10 Minutes To Beaches

Go to bed with the doors open and you will fall asleep to the sound of the sea; step out onto the covered balcony and be instantly connected with the coast line and beach. You may even spot dolphins in the Bay. Have breakfast outside under cover in the early morning sun and plan whether to go out or simply stay where you are. The view is stunning. This Light Filled apartment is on the first floor of an Edwardian Country House which was built for the St Ives School of Artists. There are 2 bathrooms (one en-suite), with a large, high ceilinged Bedroom with Sea views and a door to the Balcony. The Main living room is double aspect with French Windows also leading onto the balcony. The kitchen/diner has a range cooker, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dish washer. The property is set in a Sub Tropical Garden It is accessed via 2 sets of steps down from the lane outside. It is suitable for couples of all ages and those with children, however, children should be supervised on the balcony. There are 7 other properties in the building, some of which are private residencies and not rented out. The house in situated in Treloyhan which is the most exclusive area of St Ives. In springtime the scent of wild garlic is wonderful. The whole area is a haven for wildlife which includes Owls, Buzzards, Green Woodpecker and a myriad of smaller birds. Foxes and Badgers may be glimpsed. Specimen trees are in abundance in the area. The best way to enjoy all of this is by walking. The pedestrian pathway leads through the Gardens on the Seaward side of the house down a pathway lined with ancient moss covered granite walls to Haines Walk . Then you must decide whether to turn right to Carbis Bay where you can enjoy the facilities of the Carbis Bay Hotel, the beach with its water sports and marvellous walks or turn left towards St Ives itself. The location is perfect. Another option is to walk to the Tregenna Castle Hotel where you can be enjoying a round of golf within 10 minutes with probably the best view of St Ives from the 12th Fairway! Tescos is also a 10 minute walk as is our local the Cornish Arms. What more could anyone ask for? This is genuinely a special place. This apartment is also perfect to explore the Poldark series locations.

Why Susie chose Saint Ives

Our first sightings of the coast line here were of huge areas of golden beaches glimpsed through the trees as we wondered down to the sea shore. The tide was out and we instantly fell in love with the scenery.

What makes this apartment unique

Glorious golden sandy beaches, lots of trees, clean air and friendly people. Supermarket less than 5 minutes and close to the sea-side town of St Ives and yet we enjoy total tranquillity and stunning sea- views. You can sit out in all weathers under the cover of the balcony gazing out onto the Bay and at the unspoilt coastline. Numerous cafés and restaurants nearby in Carbis Bay or. St Ives. Endless places to visit with the South coast and nearby rivers for day trips.

Notes on accommodation: Parking for 1 car in the lane clearly marked with name of property. 2 sets of Steps down to apartment. Families with children need to be aware of climbing hazard with furniture on balcony as Edwardian balcony railings are lower than modern ones. Outside: Large covered private Edwardian Balcony with 1 metre high approx. railings overlooking Communal gardens and with a stunning sea-view. Outdoor table and chairs. Supervision of children essential on the balcony and in the gardens.It is an extraordinary garden with many trees, shrubs and a number of sub tropical species. The garden is available for use by all, with seating, and provides the breath taking coastal views as you see from the balcony. One may also walk through the garden which provides access to the beach path. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Cleaned weekly to include bed-linen. Towels can be provided. Other: Large, covered balcony with table and chairs. Children must be supervised here and not allowed to climb onto furniture which could lead to them falling off balcony.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay home from home .

The apartment is just like being at home has everything that you and your family need.The views are absolutely stunning from the balcony a great place to have a drink and watch the water amazing sunsets.The location is perfect easy walking to Carbis bay beach and a walk into St Ives once you have conquered the hill first time the other times are easy . Great to have a parking space right outside.A very well maintained apartment with a lovely feel to it.Can't wait to go back.

wonderful view!

We enjoyed a lovely few days here {despite the weather!}. The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable with lovely views of Carbis Bay from both the lounge and master bedroom. It is well located to be able to walk to both Carbis Bay and St Ives which meant that we did not have to worry about finding somewhere to park in the town and also meant we were able to walk off some of the cream teas etc.. We are also very grateful to the key holder who very kindly posted our daughter's coat back to us which had been left in the wardrobe, Looking forward to returning in the summer.

Huge character, indescribable view, fairly private and well appointed

If you'd like to avoid the melee of towns but remain connected to multiple beaches and key amenities this is the place. Also has benefits of large airy rooms. Views from balcony stunning. Parking and proximity to tescos a real bonus. Beautiful gardens and entry to coast path

Comfortable flat with stunning views.

Tremorna View has a brilliant location for walks in either direction along the coastal path. It has a designated parking space, comfortable settees and bed and great shower. The kitchen has everything you might need. A great place for a Cornish holiday.

St Michael's way (ancient Pilgrim route) runs along side the grounds of the house so keen walkers can use this route to reach Marazion on the. South coast.

10 - 15 minute walk from Carbis Bay or St Ives station station or 5 minute taxi- ride from St Ives station. 15 minute taxi ride from Paddington-Penzance main-line station of St Erth. Car not required. One parking space.
