Villa in Vilamoura, Central Algarve, Portugal - Fantastic Location Only 5 Minutes Walk To The Beach & Vilamoura Marina

This Portuguese style semi-detached villa is one of two almost identical villas available in the same unique location and is ideal for a family holiday. It has a central but very quiet location less than 5 minutes walk to the beach & Vilamoura marina and is a home from home. It is fully equipped including UK satellite TV and pay-as-you-go WiFi. Walk in through the hallway with a downstairs bathroom into a spacious sitting room with separate dining room area and open plan kitchen with breakfast bar area. Double doors lead to the garden, with patio and palm trees together with a large built in BBQ. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor making this ideal for disabled guests. Upstairs there are two spacious double bedrooms both with double doors to large balconies and a family bathroom. The second bedroom has a bed that can be used for children. There are built in wardrobes and plenty of storage space. Cots and fold up beds for children can also be provided. The shared hotel pool is located 40 metres level walk away where there is also a bar and restaurant.

Nice but too noisy for a family with small Kids

The villa is as it looks on the website and the facilities were adequate for a holiday let. The garden gets lovely sunshine and it's great to have the facility to eat outside and ly on sunbeds if you want. We didn't use the BBQ but there is one there if that's your preference. The walk to Quarteira and Viamoura take approx 10-15 min and it's nice to have the choice of two very different areas in which to walk around and eat. The use of the hotel pool is perfect, it's well kept and quiet and handy to get a drink and a snack if you wish. Maggie was easy to deal with and promptly returned the deposit to us. The management company were prompt in dealing with any queries.

The only downside to this property is the dogs barking at night. There are 2 big dogs tied up outside the house next door. One barks when anyone passes by the back garden and the other barks at the front garden. There are other dogs along the row of houses too which bark and frightened the children when they were trying to get to sleep. You do get a bit used to it but it did but a dampener on the holiday because we didn't all get a proper nights sleep, hence the 3 stars.

Activity and Interests


5 minutes walk to the beach & Vilamoura Marina. 20 minutes walk to the famous Falesia blue flag Beach. It's also 5 minutes walk in the other direction to Quarteira beach & promenade and the local fish market and flea markets. There are many bars and restaurants on both beaches.


25 minutes drive from Faro International airport. Car hire isn't necessary, all shops, beaches, bars, restaurants and nightlife are within a 5-10 minute walk.

We can arrange airport transfer.


The villa is centrally located a few minutes walking distance from Vilamoura Marina on the one side and Quarteira and its many shops on the other. There is an Aquapark within 5 minutes drive and Go-karting within 10 minutes drive. Boat trips and all water activities are located within 10 minutes walk at Vilamoura marina.

Further Details:

Two local supermarkets, a pharmacy, a newsagent & a cash point machine are located at the end of the road within a minute's walking distance of the villa. Golf, tennis, horse riding, cycling, cliff-top walks, watersports, boat hire, aqua park & go-karting are all available locally.
