The village of Plouër, with its local shops, supermarket and post office, is within a short walking distance and the sandy beaches of the Emerald Coast are just 15 minutes away by car. The property is an ideal base to discover Brittany; the coastal resorts of Dinard and St Malo are just a short drive away as is the medieval town of Dinan. Within a 30 minute drive you can reach Mont St Michel 'the wonder of the western world' and the resort of Cancale famous for its oysters and restaurants. 35 minutes drive away is Rennes, the capital of Brittany, with its many shops and historic buildings. Dinard, the chic and elegant coastal resort with its thrice weekly market, beaches, casino, restaurants and boutique shops is a must. St Malo, the walled town and port is frequently the scene for 'nautical' events and is easily accessible from the property by car. Numerous activities in the area include cycling, walking, golf, swimming, sailing, windsurfing, horse riding and tennis.

Plouer sur Rance

Overall comfort and cleanliness of property was very good. It is situated in a quiet lane in the village of Plouer sur Rance. There is an excellent supermarket (Super U) nearby. The village is close to a dual carriageway and reasonably close to Dinan, Dinard and St. Malo.

The property has 5 bedrooms and two bathrooms - one downstairs and one upstairs. There is a large garden in the back. Our dog loved running around the back chasing ball. There is a patio area and a bbq is available. The area is fairly quiet especially at night. Towels and bed linen are provided. We found the property to be exactly fitted to our requirements and also found the owner to be very helpful

There are a number of restaurants in or close to the village but they do not open every day. Dinan which is around 10 - 15 minutes drive has a wide choice of restaurants. There are picturesque walks on the banks of the Rance.

Spacious and clean in a convenient location

We had a superb week in Jul'16. The house was clean and very spacious. Cot and high chair were provided and our toddler was able to play without fear of damaging ornaments etc. There is a big garden with a few trees and mainly lawn so again ideal for spreading out and playing. The use of the garage was excellent for storing our bike. The house was well equipped. The house is in a cul de sac a short way past the Super U Hypermarket. (The house is not visible from the road but down a drive to the right of the first house on the right after the Super U). It is literally a 5 minute walk into the Super U from the house and you wouldn't even know it was there from the house. This was amazingly convenient. You can also walk to the centre of village of Plouer sur Rance, which is very quiet with very little going on when we were there. Plenty of other places to visit by car though with Dinan a large town about 15 minute drive in land very easy to get to. In the opposite direction 15-20 minutes by car gets you to the beaches of St. Malo or Dinard. Good choice of beaches with several beautiful sandy beaches to choose from. We would definitely recommend the house and area generally.

great holidayin Plouer sur Rance

this was our annual family with our grown-up boys and their girlfriends, we all had a great time although the weather could have been better for the second half of the week. the property was very spacious and well presented but would benefit from the inclusion of a dish washer, has a large garden laid mainly to grass which was great for relaxing and having a BBQ, it would be very suitable for small children as it is also secure. well located for visiting this delightful area of Brittany being midway between St.Malo & Dinan. there was also a small marina within walking distance at Port du Rance which is worth a visit.

A great place to stay

We looked at a lot of rental properties before booking this one, we wanted somewhere in a nice location that would be convenient for exploring Brittany and also somewhere that would be ok with us having our dogs there.

This property was ideal in all respects, it was less than 20 minutes from both Dinan and St Malo with easy access to the N roads, also there's a really nice town within walking distance and on our last night we ate in the local restaurant, the food was superb.

The owner is really nice, she welcomed us and showed us around when we arrived, she is French and does speak some English, but when you book her neighbor (a Brit), will help out with everything and was very helpful.

The property is really nice, it has a large garden with loads of fruit trees, also its quiet and very nice inside, everything worked, there's plenty of space, the beds were comfortable and pretty much everything you need is there, including internet, French plus English TV.

Also there's a huge SuperU Supermarket within strolling distance, so if you want fresh bread for breakfast or anything else you don't even have to get in your car.

We had a wonderful time staying there and would highly recommend this property.
