Perfect for both winter and summer as it has all the home comforts and ENGLISH TV AND INTERNET IS CONNECTED ALL YEAR ROUND. The aircon is hot and cold so great for all seasons in addition we have ceiling fans in both bedrooms for your added comfort.

American style open kitchen, dinning and living with patio doors to a larger than average balance, 2 bedrooms double bedroom and twin bedroom (that can be zipped together to make a large double if preferred). Bathroom has bath, shower, sink, bidet, illuminated mirror and window.

Our apartment is located within an exclusive gated complex, set on the edge of the typically Spanish town of Los Alcazares, on the Mar Menor. The Mar Menor, meaning ‘small sea’ is the largest salt water lagoon in Europe. The area is well known for its temperate climate; long, safe sandy beaches; and warm, shallow crystal clear waters. The palm-lined, traffic-free promenade stretches for 7 km and is ideal for couples and families, with beach side cafe/bars, restaurants and children's play areas. There are several golf courses within close proximity, including the world famous La Manga. Murcia (San Javier) Airport is less than 10 mins and Alicante Airport 45 mins drive. The apartment itself is furnished to a very high standard, sleeps 4/5, and has large balcony with open views. It is ideally located, with restaurants, bars, supermarket, shops and banks only a few mins walk away, while the beautiful Mar Menor beach and promenade is a 10 mins stroll away.

Robert is an IT Manager and I am a Secretary we purchased the apartment in April 2014 after a great deal of research on somewhere that is both nice to holiday also as part of our retirement plan as eventually we plan to live in Los Alcazares during the winter months.

Beautiful well maintained property

The property was wonderful and had everything you could possibly think of. Really well located and felt very secure. The owners and the property manager were really easy to deal with and we would not hesitate to book again.

Excellent holiday apartment

We had a great stay at Deborah and Robert's Los Alcazares apartment. The resort is a short distance from Murcia airport and the directions we were sent were easy to follow. The apartment is exactly as described and as good as the photographs show. It was very well decorated and furnished, clean and well-maintained. There was a supply of tea, coffee and other goods in the kitchen and we just replaced what we used. There are 3 good, well-stocked supermarkets within walking distance and a shopping trolley and bags were provided for guests use. Pool towels and sun beds were available for use at the pool and we made good use of these, as the weather was very good for the time of year. The Puerto Marina complex is very secure and the grounds and garden areas are very attractive. The main square with many good restaurants was approximately 10 minutes easy walk away and the long promenade and beachfront another 5 minutes walk. We have never booked a privately owned apartment before but would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment. Deborah quickly answered any questions we had and we really enjoyed our stay in Los Alcazares.

Very comfortable modern home for a holiday break, both apartment and complex spotlessly clean

Within 30 minutes of landing we were in the apartment. Immediately it felt more like a home than a holiday let. All amenities were accurately described and it was great to have tea bags, coffee and sugar available in apartment, plus beer in fridge, so no immediate rush to supermarkets which were only a short walk away. You just replaced or topped up what you used and the supermarkets were all within a short 5/10 minute flat walk and use of the shopping trolley was great. All cleaning essentials for washing up and clothes cleaning were also provided.

The bed and settee were very comfortably with plenty room for hanging clothes and the 3D movies were a welcome late night entertainment bonus.

The complex is attractively laid out with plenty of room round the pools for all. Very relaxing feel to the complex. The apartment blocks provided great wind breaks as we were subjected to a few windy days during our stay although daytime temps were ideal in low 70s, cool at night though.

A very family feel around both complex and town with plenty of great cafes, restaurants and bars within a short distance. We didn't frequent the beach preferring the shelter of the complex but having been before can recommend it for young families.

From the main road about 200m from the apartment you can catch buses to the likes of Cartagena ...which was great as we did not wish to drive this holiday.

All in all a very comfortable homely apartment and we do not hesitate to recommend to our family and friends. The owners, Robert and Deborah were very prompt in responding to our queries and very accommodating. We wish them well.

Fantastic apartment in a great location

We stayed here for one week, my husband, daughter, mother and father in law and myself. The apartment is ideal for families or couples wanting space. There are two good sized double bedrooms (or one as 2 singles) and our daughter slept on the spacious sofa. Lovely bathroom with bath and shower. The well equipped open plan kitchen, dining area and living room is plenty big enough for 5 people. The apartment is beautifully furnished and the owners have clearly given great thought and taken care to ensure it has everything you need to have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Facilities include 3DTv with English channels, fast wifi, dvd library. It's the little touches too, such as bat and balls, inflatables, beach towels, with facilities to wash your laundry and a useful airer. The kitchen has everything you need, and we cooked frequently. Lots of pots, pans and utensils, glasses cups plates etc. A real home from home, but with a holiday feel. The balcony is very spacious and comfortably sits 5 around the table, with extra space to lie on a sun lounger. The complex itself is spotless too, with a lovely pool and plenty of sunbathing space. It is also extremely secure. The apartment is a short walk to a really nice plaza with lots of places to eat. There are 3 supermarkets withing walking distance, and there is a trolley and shopping bags for you to use. 10 minutes walk and you are at the beach, which is very clean and I would recommend walking on the promenade. A great holiday apartment which we would highly recommend (and have already to friends) and we are already planning our next visit here.

From the Owner

We are naturally very cautious and did a lot of research before viewing in this area. Basically we were looking for a property that was close to an airport and within walking distance of the beach, shops, bars and restaurants, without being a typical tourist resort. This area ticked all the right boxes for us. The Mar Menor is beautiful and truly unique. Los Alcazares is an old fishing village and has retained its Spanish charm. It's fantastic to sit along the promenade and look across the Mar Menor to the La Manga strip, even better to take the ferry across. Both the old town and the new plaza provide plenty of choice of high quality restaurants and there are plenty of cafe/bars in the plaza and scattered along the promenade.

The beach is a 10 minute walk from the apartment, the area is completely flat which makes it an easy walk once at the beach there is a 7 km promenade and a lovely clean sandy well maintained Blue Flag beaches. As you walk along the promenade you will find cafe bars, some water sports and a boat ride over to La Manga (open during the summer months). It is a great safe place to walk, swim, sunbath and cycle.


The closest airport is Murcia (San Javier) being a 5 minutes drive, Alicante is 45 minutes drive. There is no need for a car unless you want to visit other areas of Spain.

If using a car there is plenty of free parking around the complex.


There are plenty of other areas to visit around the region, our favourite is Cartegena which is a beautiful historic city with lots of history and historic sites to visit, beautiful architecture not to mention an array of shops, bars and restaurants and beautiful marina that provides boat trips.

This is a 20 minute drive or there are buses which travel direct from Los Alcazares which take around 40 minutes.

There is also a Water Park which is about a 20 minute drive. There are 3 shopping Plazas Dos Mares 10 min drive and Espacio Mediterraneo 15 min drive and La Zenia Boulevard 25 min drive.

Booking Notes:
A non-refundable deposit of £150 is required to secure the booking, with the balance to be paid in full 6 weeks before departure. A refundable damage bond of £150 is also required 6 weeks before departure to cover lost keys, replacement locks, damage/loss to the apartment/contents, which will be returned to you subject to no damage/loss during your stay. Method of payment: bank transfer.

Changeover Day:
We are flexible about changeover days and departure times in order to accommodate our guests flight arrival and departure times. However in high season this may not be possible where we may require you to vacant by 10:00.

Notes on prices:
Prices are in GBP, based on a maximum of 4 occupants, and are fully inclusive of all linen and towels, electricity, water and cleaning on departure. Aircon card meter 10 euro card per week included, additional cards can be purchased. A surcharge of £25 per week if you need the apartment for 5 people. Extras available are airport transfers, cot, highchair hire all payable locally to my Property Manager.. Discounts for longer terms stays of 1 month or more.

From the Owner

The complex is very friendly and within a secure gated community. We have tried to make the apartment a real home from home. It is very sleek and modern but comfortable. Our apartment also enjoys the benefits of a quiet location yet is only a couple of minutes walk to the plaza, which is buzzing with several quality restaurants and bars, and a further 5 mins walk to the beach and promenade. The plaza and promenade are pedestrianised so it is great for kids. Our parents also appreciated the distinct lack of hills in the area - it really is as flat as a pancake. Around the 3 large swimming pools there is plenty of space for your sunbeds and for the children to run around and enjoy themselves without everyone being on top of one another.

Further cleans can be arranged for longer stays, at an additional cost. Other: Balcony: the balcony is larger than most and is equipped with a table and 5 chairs and lightweight folding sunbeds for use by the pool. An ashtray is provided for smoking on the balcony only.
