Description

Chinkwell Tor Sleeps 6 (3 Bedrooms)

Chinkwell is one of the latest and last cottages to be converted at Holwell. Completed just before Christmas 2007, Chinkwell was originally the kennels for the farm and estate.

Located in the upper yard level, it is enclosed by a granite wall and has a sheltered lawned garden outside the front door. Its elevated position affords great views over the roof of Hay Tor cottage below to Ripon Tor in the distance

A large entrance hallway - ideal for lots of muddy boots, coats and soggy dogs! opens up into a corridor leading to two ground floor bedrooms and family bathroom and a large open plan kitchen/living/dining room. Central Heating Log Burning Stove Dishwasher.

Upstairs there is a spacious "loft style" bedroom suite comprising ensuite bathroom and dressing area. Central Heating Log Burning Stove Dishwasher.

Together with Saddletor next door, these two cottages together are ideal for larger gatherings as they are separated off from the other cottages and share their own drive.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Saddle Tor, the bluebells, sunshine and family made for a wonderful time on Holwell Farm. Thank you Sophia, you are wonderful. The McDowall Family.

What a pity we have to leave Holwell Farm, it has been 3 weeks of 'bliss' walking and cycling on the moors, discovering magical spots like Dendle's and Wistman's Wood, and coming home to a cosy cottage.

Thank you for a very enjoyable 7 days. Saddle Tor and Chinkwell Tor were perfect for our family of 13. Spacious, comfortable and genuinely perfect home away from home for us to spend some quality time together as a family. Thank you. Ireland Family.

Good Deli in Bovey so you can put together a wonderful picnic and even a cream tea. They have a Cheese Shop too. Great Fish & Chip shop up the high street. Lloyd Maunder butchers sell Dartmoor beef and lamb.
