Guests Stay: 22/July/2014 - VERY NICE VILLA, GOOD LOCATION

Very nice villa, good location, good furnishings and space, esp. outside round the excellent pool. Some very good restaurants/ bakery/supermarket nearby. Also very nice arrival food/drinks package on arrival.

Guests Stay: 9/Jun/2014 - GREAT VILLA IN GREAT LOCATION.

Maureen and I have been to Javea many times and know the area quite well but the clear directions provided beforehand guided us directly to the address. We were pleased to be met by Katie, the local agent, who showed us around the villa and explained how everything worked etc. The "Welcome" basket was very welcome and provided us with lunch before we set off to the supermarket to stock up. We stayed at the villa for four weeks and were really relaxed whilst we were there. It had everything we needed including A/C , internet, tv, pool, sunbeds and lots more. The location was quiet and peaceful and there are plenty of shaded sitting areas to relax or dine. The villa is within 5 minutes walking distance of several bars/restaurants and our favourite was the "Azahar" which only opened at the end of May after a complete refurbishment. We made lots of friends at "The Lounge" where the manager made us particularly welcome. We are missing our pre-breakfast early morning walk along the shoreline at Arenal beach. What a nice way to start the day. Our daughter and her husband were touring in Spain and joined us for a long weekend while we were there. They were equally impressed with the facilities and the location. We hope we can get back there again soon.

Guest Stay: 18/Apr/2014 PERFECT FOR FAMILY OR SMALL GROUP GATHERING

This is a well laid out, spacious villa (1 double, 2 singles), with a lovely private pool and plenty of space for outside dining and sunbathing. The property has a well equipped kitchen with everything you could need for self catering. The lounge/dining area has Sat TV, plus CD/DVD player. A hairdryer is also provided, which is helpful if you have a small baggage allowance. There were also other games available (e.g. Chess, Scrabble), which made a nice change from endless playing with gadgets. That said, Wifi is also available and worked well. Our children enjoyed playing in the pool, whilst the veranda was perfect to catch sun throughout the day and have an evening meal. Locally we ventured to Jaspas bar (short walk) Free snooker on Mondays, Wednesday night = quiz night and very popular. Near to Jaspas is a minimarket. The variety is limited, but good for the basics (bread, baked in store). Further towards Javea there are larger Supermarkets. We loved the Arenal Beach - nicely laid out and great for families. The water is shallow so small children are able to play safely. The restaurants offer a good variety. It's a 10 minute drive and several people recommended the Scallops restaurant for very reasonably priced meals - that's a place we'll have to try next time!

Great holiday with many options

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the villa for a week in November and had a great time. We flew in to Valencia and drove down to Javea in around 1 hour 25 minutes. Make sure you have the road directions to hand or a sat nav to avoid any problems finding the villa.

The villa is sited in a peaceful, secluded, residential location away from the main tourist area. It is set in large grounds providing good space for parking, outdoor activities and entertainment. There is a good sized pool and not only a sun terrace but also various dining / garden / BBQ areas. The villa was very clean, well maintained and very well equipped. I can’t think of anything it doesn’t have.

There are some local restaurants, bars and a supermarket within walking distance. If you are walking at night its worth taking a torch with you. You are only around 5 minutes drive to various beaches and tourist areas where there are good walks, some long flat promenades, a port (which also sells the local fresh fish) as well as numerous bars / restaurants. For those seeking authentic Spain, there is the old town slightly inland. It’s a great place with much to explore including local markets, tapas bars etc.

There so much you could do if you do not want to simply chill out by the pool. All in all we really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay there again.

Great Villa!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in 3 villas in this area now, and this was the best. Lovely comfortable villa, with everything we needed to keep ourselves and two small children happy. Katie, who manages the property, was great. We had a couple of issues with the air conditioning which she dealt with quickly and efficiently and with a minimum amount of disruption to us.

We know this area well, lovely beaches and places to visit, and a great villa for days around the pool.

Perfect base for climbing/cycling/walking

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful, peaceful house in the hills with private pool and garden. Very secure and private with lots of outside space. Good parking, easily fit a couple of cars / vans. Lovely pool area which gets lots of sun, but also has lovely shaded eating areas. Next to woodland with lots of birds, fantastic to wake up to in the morning! 10 mins out of the main town in a quiet area, with local restaurants, bakeries and quiet bar close by. Really great spot for exploring nearby hills - lots of good local walking and hiking with superb views of the mountains and the sea. Perfect base for exploring the local mountains and crags. Fantastic to come home and have a swim in the pool and a beer in the evening sun after a long day out! Home from home!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I are frequent holiday makers and this holiday was one of the best, the weather was very nice, Air Con was very useful, the Villa was comfortable, we felt very relaxed, the private pool was well used, enjoyable, little extras added to the enjoyment such as home entretainments, wifi and outside games.

The Villa was clean and well presented.

A beautiful home from home!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this place! Our family’s first visit to Javea and this lovely villa lived up to all our hopes and expectations! The villa was extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well equipped with plenty of space for everyone – a great choice of areas, both sunny and shady, for sunbathing, sitting or playing. The indoor accommodation was well laid out and spacious – internet was strong and the folders of information were extremely useful!

It was fantastic having breakfast in the early sun on the naya, sunbathing around the pool during the day, jumping in the pool to cool down, and then enjoying the evening sun eating and chatting in the outside dining area. The area seems to have its own microclimate, because of the protection of the striking hills, so we enjoyed very warm, sunny days (mostly around 25oC) even though we were there at the end of October.

We hired a car from Alicante airport, which is just over an hour’s drive – would definitely recommend taking a sat nav with you. We used the car for shopping, getting to the gorgeous horseshoe shaped, sandy beach at El Arenal, and for some of the sights. However, it was great to have a good choice of shops, a varied choice of restaurants and friendly bars within a few minutes walking distance of the villa.

As well as being incredibly relaxing, the villa also makes a perfect base for various mountain- and water-based activities, such as hiking, kayaking and cycling – a huge choice of fantastic hill walks and inspiring scenic runs.

Teenagers can be quite hard to please but they loved this villa and its outside spaces! A fabulous setting for a family holiday – something for everyone.

Wonderful wonderful place!

  • 5 of 5

We went here for the first time (2 adults and 2 young boys) at the beginning of June and we all absolutely loved it. It's spotlessly clean and is in a great location for seeing lots of different places. (Although we only visited the aqua park and a couple of the local beaches this time as the pool was sooooo nice!) If you just want to relax the villa/pool is perfect as it is very private and again everywhere is spotlessly clean. There's a bit for golf practice too which we didn't use but I'm sure it's a golfers dream! It felt very safe and the little ones loved it. Thank you for a lovely holiday and I recommend this villa all the way!

Location

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

Jávea (Xàbia) has long been considered one of the jewels of the Costa Blanca, an oasis of natural beauty set along some 25km of stunning coastline and nestling below the awesome hulk of the mountain El Montgó, more than 750m high and protecting the town from the northerly winds of winter.

The town basks in an average of 320 days of sunshine per annum - perfect for a holiday whatever the time of year.

The beautiful town of Jávea is almost equidistant between Alicante and Valencia international airports, both of which welcome thousands of flights from airports across the UK.

For those wanting to take their own car, there are overnight ferries sailings from Portsmouth to Bilbao/Santander, then a leisurely 6hr drive to Javea, so why not bring the boat.

There are varied cycling opportunities throughout the area for all abilities & ages. Cycles can be hired from shops in the Arenal or Javea Port area. Why not cycle from Javea to Denia & catch the boat back, a great day out.

Further Details:

Jávea has so much to offer the visitors besides the sun, sea and wonderful beaches. It boasts a history stretching back thousands of years which can be explored in the town's municipal museum in the heart of its delightful historic centre, which hosts some lovely music & tapas bars & a wonderful weekly market on Thursday, plus the daily indoor market selling local produce.

Jávea may have a lot to offer but there is also some fantastic countryside to discover within just a short car journey.

There are some hidden and not so hidden gems nestling amongst the inland mountains, including the amazing village of Guadalest and the wonderful waterfalls of Algar. The infamous town of Benidorm is 45km to the south with all the attractions of a big resort, such as Aqualandia water slides and the exciting rides of Terra Mitica as well as the animals of Mundomar and Terra Natura, which are all great days out for the kids. Alicante has its castle and famous port whilst a short journey to the north is the historic city of Valencia with its old quarter complemented by the modern City of Arts and Sciences.

Five official routes exist, almost 45 km of trails opening up the beauty of both the countryside and the coastline and perfect for a brief afternoon saunter along the sea-cliffs or an energetic day-long push to mountain summits. There are short strolls winding through the orange groves of the plain or cultural wanders through the narrow streets of the historic centre.

There are more energetic rambles to the castle of Granadella or to the iconic windmills of La Plana as well as the amazing carved carverns of Cova Tallada. There are also challenging scrambles to the great open cavity popularly known as the 'Eye of Montgó' and, of course, to the very summit of Montgó, standing over 750m above sea level and dominating the town to the north.

All sporting equipment (golf clubs/climbing gear/diving gear/cycles/windsurfers/canoes etc) can be stored securely at the villa.
