Argoed is one of the original Victorian houses built in Aberdovey, standing in secluded grounds with breathtaking views over the Dyfi estuary and out to the Irish sea.

Coast/Beach:

You can saunter down to the front in less than five minutes, where you will find four miles of sandy beaches, the first part of the beach is family friendly in high season, so dog owners have to access the beach at the far end of the car park.

Distances:

The village of Aberdovey is a two minute walk down the hill, however it will take you longer going back up!

The nearest towns to Aberdovey are Tywyn a 5 minute drive, market days are Monday, there are a couple of supermarkets but best of all is 'The Magic Lantern' cinema, certainly worth a visit!

Machynlleth is a 15 minute drive and market days are Wednesday.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: The house has central heating throughout as well as real fires in the sitting room and games room. We respectfully ask that smoking outside and the Breeze House in the garden also known as 'The Blow House' is ideal in bad weather! Well behaved pets are welcome inside but we ask that dogs are confined to the ground floor area only. Families with young children please be aware there is a small pond in the garden. There is also a travel cot, high chair and stair gate available. Outside: The private garden overlooking the the village, estuary and mountains, has a large terrace, sun loungers, table and chairs and barbecue. It also has a 'Breeze House' which is perfect for entertaining outside in all weathers! Families with young children please be aware that there is a small garden pond! You will also find a Giant Jenga and a set of boules. The drive sweeps up and around the property to a parking area for several cars and space to turn around (depending on how many cars!) Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, Iron and ironing board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen, towels and beach towels are provided. The property is cleaned after every rental. Other: The games room has a large sofa, bean bags, tv/dvd, pool table, guitar and a good selection of games and books.
