Tiger Lane is a quiet street off North Bar Within, close to local amenities and historic attractions, adjacent to the Georgian Quarter of Beverley. 9 Tiger Lane is fully furnished and contains all needed linens, towels, crockery and cutlery. Offering well appointed accommodation for five guests (two double and one single bedrooms), the property has off-road parking and garage and enclosed courtyard garden. Ideal base for York, the Wolds, the Coast and Hull (City of Culture for 2017).

About Sara Glover

My husband and I bought No.9 Tiger Lane approximately one year ago and spent time refurbishing the property to create a modern yet comfortable base for guests to enjoy. We have lived in a nearby village for many years so know Beverley well and what it has to offer. We were attracted to the central location of the property as it offers guests the opportunity to enjoy Beverley's attractions and amenities - especially the many places to dine - without always having to use the car.

Why Sara Glover chose East Riding of Yorkshire

The property is so convenient for all that Beverley has to offer, with its many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The picturesque pastures of the Beverley Westwood are right on the doorstep for picnics or evening strolls. If you want a day without the car, it's easy to hop on a bus or a train to the coast or visit the attractions of York, Leeds or Harrogate. Hull is only 15 minutes away by train where you can visit the art gallery, its many free museums or The Deep - one of the world's most spectacular aquariums.

What makes this house unique

The central location of 9 Tiger Lane allows guests to enjoy its many cafes, bars and restaurants without having to use a car as all are within walking distance. Although lying in the heart of the Georgian Quarter of Beverley, Tiger Lane is tucked away off North Bar Within, so enjoys peace and quiet, with the picturesque pastures of the Beverley Westwood also within a few minutes stroll away from the front door.

Wonderful place to stay in Beverley

My 2 sisters and myself stayed here for 4 days. It is a clean and well maintained property and exactly as described on the website. We had a very enjoyable stay here and it was great to hear the church bells on Sunday, I hadn't heard bells for such a long time so it was an extra treat. We enjoyed the Saturday market which we didn't know about beforehand and there are lots of stalls selling all sorts of things. The difficulty was that we couldn't buy too much as we were limited by baggage allowances on flights. Beverley is central to lots of places in Yorkshire and it doesn't take long to get anywhere by car.

I would certainly recommend the accommodation and Beverley to anyone, I liked Beverley the moment I drove into it. It is such a warm, welcoming city and very clean and tidy.

Lovely clean property in the centre of town

This house is in a great location and parks two cars which is very useful as there isn't much overnight parking around the centre of Beverley. Over three floors you will find everything you need and a little outdoor space at the rear for those sunny afternoons.

Perfect 3-month stay in Beverley

I spent 3 months in Beverley and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The property is ideally located, 1 minute from the centre of town and yet quiet, apart from the chiming of the church bells on Wednesday evenings and on Sundays! It is spacious, comfortable, modern and very well equipped, including plenty of good books, games and tourist information. I didn't have a car, but the bus station is less than 5 minutes walk away with buses to Hull, York, Hornsea and other destinations, so a car is not a must, especially as there is also plenty to do in Beverley. (The train station is also only 10 minutes on foot and a very large Tesco is only 5 minutes walk away.)

Apart from the 2 beautiful churches, the art gallery and Guildhall in Beverley are also well worth a visit. The library too is well equipped. I enjoyed an afternoon at the Races and walking up on the Westwood. The new East Riding Theatre is only 10 minutes walk away from the property and has a very lively programme. I also enjoyed using the Leisure Centre. Shopping is excellent and the Saturday market is also a lot of fun. The restaurants and coffee/tea shops are many and the ones we tried, such as Oginos, The King's Head, Farthings and the Woolpackers Inn were all very good.

I plan to return again next year and have no hesitation in recommending both this property and Beverley for a holiday.
