About the Owner

We moved to Holmfirth 15 years ago and loved it so much that we've never left. Our two boys were born here and enjoy the local school and the fantastic outdoor spaces that this region has to offer.

With lots of local knowledge and my love of the local restaurants, I am here to help you make the most of your relaxing break here. Please give me a call if you would like to find out more.

"Jenny has been absolutely lovely. My stay has been very peaceful, tranquil, in beautiful surroundings. Apartment very clean and apt. Near to village, but also 'just enough' out of the way. Some beautiful walks around the vicinity. Nearly became my second home!"

A great retreat

  • 5 of 5

The studio apartment is beautiful and has everything you need. The location is peaceful and only a short drive into the centre of Holmfirth if you are not in to walking. The views are great and even in late October/early November we were able to sit out on the lovely patio and watch the birds, squirrels and even hear the leaves drop. My husband and I will definitely recommend to others. Thanks too for your lovely warm welcome Jenny and general helpfulness in terms of where we could eat and go walking when we asked for your advice. Tracey & Martin Harris

Stunning!

  • 5 of 5

We had a perfect 2 night stay in room with a view. The apartment has everything you need to self cater and Jenny was very welcoming and available if you needed her. The local walks are well worth doing as the views are simply breath taking.

We will be definitely returning to this little gem!

Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

Had the most lovely visit to Holmfirth, the apartment is just gorgeous! Spotlessly clean, modern furnishings and views to die for, perfect spot for walking ( from your doorstep) and just a 10 minute ( or so) walk into Holmfirth itself, the welcome pack was a lovely touch, coffee, tea, crumpets, eggs, bacon, butter and biscuits. Can recommend 100%, had a really lovely stay.

Perfect setting, perfect location, perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely little find! Set right in the heart of Holmfirth this place has just about everything you'll need for a short stay. We walked into Holmfirth a few times (15 minutes walk!) , visited the annual food and drink festival and even experienced the local wine at Holmfirth Vineyard just 5 minutes drive from the property. We felt so at home!

Peaceful, tranquil and a real spot to unwind and feel like you're a million miles from home.

Thanks Jenny for your kind hospitality and for sharing your lovely surroundings - you are so lucky to wake up those views every day! We hope to stay again very soon.

Utterly perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this place was pretty much perfect. Every detail is well thought out and for a couples getaway we couldn't recommend it enough. The apartment has everything you need, and the grounds, with the duck pond and views of Holmfirth are spectacular. Everything from the telescope to the big book of Folklore, Myths and Legends are perfectly placed to entertain you in your time here, boredom is simply not an option.

The property is around a ten minute walk down the hill to the village, which is one of the nicest little places we've visited. Lovely shops and a couple of welcoming bars. The walk back up the hill could take a while longer for some, but if you've had a wine or two the pain seems lessened...

As an aside, Jen the owner was lovely, and she even surprised us out the blue with a kind offer of sliding our dates when our plans unexpectedly changed last minute. She couldn't have been more helpful, and the welcome pack that greeted us was much appreciated.

We've stayed in a number of cottages up and down the country and can honestly say this is the best, and the one we'd be most likely to return to at a future date.

Highly recommend!
