Recently completely refurbished to a very high standard, the property boasts views of St Davids and Porthclais harbour. The distinctive Farmhouse offers 5 double-bedroom accommodation, with the adjoining Bwthyn (Cottage) offering 3 double rooms. Weekly rentals with changeover days on Fridays.

Just 500metres from the coast path and a mile to St Davids, the UK's smallest city, Rhos y Cribed is a substantial holiday rental property which sits within the heart of the St Davids peninsular, at the far Western tip of Wales and is the ideal place to stay.

The distinctive Rhos y Cribed Farmhouse and cottage have separate parking and entrances but offer the ideal opportunity for friends and families to take holidays together.

Both properties have been sympathetically and stylishly furnished to a high standard and are well equipped with all that's needed for a home away from home.

With bedlinen and bath towels provided as well as a basket of logs for the log burner, all our guests' needs for a wonderful stay in Pembrokeshire have been considered.

Thought to have been the Harbour Master or Merchant Trader's home back in the 18th century, when Porthclais harbour was at its busiest, Rhos y Cribed stands at the top of the ridge going down the valley into Porthclais harbour.

Rhos y Cribed Farmhouse and Bwthyn self-catering holiday cottages are found in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park at the far western tip of Wales. Set in over 30 acres the lovingly restored property offers a stylish home from home for guests.

Within the valley that leads down to Porthclais harbour, it is said that St David was baptized by St Elvis, Bishop of Munster. During the baptism water gushed from nearby rocks, spashing the eys of a blind monk holding the infant David and his sight was restored. This spring, Ffynnon Dewi or David’ Well – lies within the boundaries of Rhos y Cribed land, close to the National Trust car park at Porthclais Harbour.

The superb natural harbour of Porthclais served as St Davids’ port for centuries. Until the early 20th century, trading ships in the busy harbour brought in coal, timber and limestone and exported farm produce and woollen cloth.

Pembrokeshire offers 186 miles of dramatic coastline with world class beaches offering the best conditions for surfing, sailing, fishing or just relaxing and looking in rock-pools. With a back drop of precipitous cliffs, locals and visitors alike can’t help but be overwhelmed by the breathtaking scenery and abundance of coastal wildlife – on land and at sea.

The stylish sitting room and dining room extends the full length of the house and looks out over the valley towards St Davids city. Fireside sofas offer comfy seating in front of the roaring log stove whilst the open plan dining area to kitchen ensures that the cook (or cooks) of the house aren’t left out of any of the socializing!

Cooking enthusiasts will love the superbly equipped kitchen at the heart of the farmhouse – a place where family and friends can gather to chat about the activities of the day.

The open-plan ground floor boasts a fabulous distinctive chimney, complete with its own ‘meinc’ – a sitting perch to the side of the fireplace, just right for warming up in front of the log-burner! The welcoming sitting room and dining area at the front of the property leads through to the galley kitchen. Cooking enthusiasts will appreciate the compact but tastefully equipped kitchen. Two double bedrooms at the front of the property enjoy views extending towards St Davids and down towards Porthclais harbour, and a bespoke designed cosy double-bed room at the rear of the property offer a home away from home for all ages. Outside: Both properties benefit from separate entrances and ample car parking areas. There are also separate lawned and walled front gardens to both the Farmhouse and the Bwthyn.
