About SIMON DURANT

Four generations of my family have lived in Uppingham, although I have lived away for many years, I keep coming home to my favourite English Market town.

Year property purchased: 2014 Finished complete renovation in July 2014, very pleased with out come.

All main windows now replaced with wooden double glazing, very pleased with out come.

We found The Corner House fully equipped for a relaxing weekend away. We dined in but Uppingham had many restaurants in easy walking distance. The house was warm, clean and decor was cosy and tasteful. The beds were comfy and bedrooms light and airy. Loved the kitchen which is the hub of the house with the quaint cellar leading off. Courtyard was private and handy for our dog -would be lovely in the summer months. We enjoyed many walks in the Arboretum & grounds of the school, with Rutland water providing some great alternatives. Parking is restricted in the day near to the house, but very close by is unrestricted parking in a quiet street. No need to use your car really if you like walking as village is so handy. We were amazed at the speedy service of a broken appliance during our visit, within half an hour a tradesman had attended and problem solved. Many thanks. Docking station and TV good quality and free Wifi. Fab stay and lovely house. This review is the subjective opinion of a TripAdvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
