Beautiful country house with breathtaking rural view. Sleeps up to 9 people. A play room for children and a lush lawn in front of the house. With no neighbors in sight, this pocket of luxury in the picturesque North Walian countryside is the perfect getaway.

2 miles from nearest village Llanfair Talhaiarn with pub/restaurant serving excellent food (see tripadvisor). 4 miles to nearest town with shops, bank etc., 6 miles to the nearest beach, 10 miles to St. Asaph cathedral and half hour drive to the lovely Victorian seaside town of Llandudno.

Beautiful position but a bit disappointed with a few things.

We really enjoyed our stay but this was after the disappointment of the initial sights of the property. Our sons stayed in the bedroom with 2 single beds. When we pulled the bed out slightly we saw that part of the wall was coming away, really needs repair and a bit of tlc to the whole property really. Also when we came to remove the bedding (as requested upon leaving) the pillows in the bedroom did not have protectors on and had stains which was quite repulsive to think we had slept on them.

Lovely, comfortable, large house with stunning views.

This lovely house is perfectly located for a quiet, relaxing time, yet close enough to many places for a fun filled holiday that can be as busy and as adventurous as you like. Once again our stay was enjoyed by us all.

Customer service from the owners is polite and friendly and only a text or a phone call away to sort anything out and answer any queries.

A perfect place to have a brilliant holiday.

Comfortable basic family holiday accommodation. Stunning location, but lacks attention to detail

We agree with Helen G who also awarded 3 stars. From the outside the house looks beautiful with stunning views, but once inside we too were disappointed. The interior decoration is in very poor condition in many places, with evidence of much surface DIY cabling for previous phone and IT use - definitely not 5-star, but very comfortable accommodation nevertheless. Whilst the fridge was working, it hadn't been cleaned and needed to be completely washed out before we could put our grocery delivery away. We didn't feel that the kitchen as a whole was particularly well equipped, especially as far as the cutlery was concerned. More chef's knives than one could possibly use, but no plain wooden spoons and similar kitchen basics - it was disappointing to find, at 8pm, that the can-opener was unusable!

In the red bedroom the wardrobe had a strong musty smell so that we had to keep the doors open and the drawers were also very musty. Former hirers had also probably decided against using them as they were very dusty - as were the bedside light bulbs which needed washing to prevent the smell of 'hot dust'. We found a new use for the beach wind-break hammer, to eliminate some sharp nail or staples in the stair carpet which we found the hard way!. The main bathroom, a beautiful 'themed' wet room, would benefit from three or four towels rails.

The wiring was somewhat Heath Robinson, with trailing wires and loose sockets. We reported the strong smell of heating oil in the kitchen and that the extractor fans in the bathrooms did not appear to be working. An email sent to the owner to report this and the fact that the vacuum cleaner did not appear to have a charger, was responded to straight away and the next day a brand new vacuum cleaner had been delivered, although we didn't see the promised electricians for the extractor fans. We didn't have a hot tub, but there was a table tennis table in one of the outbuildings, which although not full sized was still nice to have and was put to good use. It just seemed a great pity that such a lovely house was let down by the peeling wallpaper on the stairs and rather slipshod decorating efforts.

We found the location was good for visiting many places within a half hour's drive away, including Llandudno where there is a ski and tobogganing centre, plus the cable car ride up to The Great Orme was a lovely experience. A great pub/restaurant in Llandudno was The Cottage Loaf.

Lovely home from home in a stunning rural location

We stayed here in the May half term. 4 adults and 2 children. It's a large property with plenty of room for everyone, very comfortable and has everything you would need., even has a small separate play room. We had fantastic weather which was a bonus, lovely to sit out front in a morning listening to the cows and sheep!! Stunning views over the hills. Did need assistance with a faulty light pull in the bathroom and the owners sorted this quickly. Would love to stay again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

Beautiful location, disappointing details

The property is beautiful from the exterior, with a well maintained lawn space. While the space the property offers is wonderful, the attention to detail on the interior is really quite lacking.

The fridge in the kitchen was not operating properly during our stay. We had a Sainsburys shopping delivery to the house on Monday and by our departure on the Friday morning all the dairy products were inedible, despite BBE dates for a further 3 days on the milk it had solidified.

The wiring in the house needs updating; some power sockets in the two en suite rooms look unstable and additionally the volume of trailing wires from extension cables all over the house was a continuous source of worry for me with my young children in the house.

The scale and the rental price of the property implies a certain level of luxury that we feel the house unfortunately doesn't live up to. While there is space for everyone, the renovations undertaken are of a poor standard and very much detract from the external aesthetics of the house. Paintwork - paint/ brush marks on windows, missing paintwork where furniture has been a painted around, peeling gloss work, single coats of paint on hall storage and kitchen ceiling. Unfilled holes in the ceiling and walls - around the pull cord in the master en suite, in the ceiling above the master bed, flooring the 2nd en suite. Hazardous repairs with screws - drawer handle in the 3rd bedroom, the toilet roll holder in the master en suite.

I found all the trailing loose wires , cable cover boxes, exposed plumbing pipes firstly in some cases concerning for safety, but secondarily most unattractive.

The hot tub is not comfortable, there are no seats in it, rather its a plain barrel-shape with bubbles. You can stand, crouch or kneel in it.

I can see the property has great potential, and the size of the maintenance is not insignificant, it's the attention to detail I feel is missing.
