Awel y Môr is our modern, bright, self-catering holiday apartment situated overlooking the beach at the stunning Millennium Quay in Llanelli, South Wales. We hope you will love the constantly changing views of the sea from the master bedroom as well as all the features of the well specified two bedroomed apartment. The apartment was refurbished / redecorated in May (2014) and new furniture, bedding, curtains, TVs, kitchen appliances provided. The front balcony faces the morning sun and is perfect for breakfast and morning coffee, with its views towards Llanelli. The rear, south-west facing, Juliet balcony overlooks the coastal path, sandy beach and the sea. From here, you can enjoy the fantastic view and the setting sun. There is a wide range of things to do in the area and for families and couples. At Awel y Môr we have tried to provide comfortable beds and, with the choice of two doubles (one super king and one king) or one king and two singles, you will have the flexibility to book the accommodation you need. For those quiet nights in, the smart TV has a collection of over 100 modern films (categorised in U, PG etc) , a library of thousands of songs and surround sound system (with blue-tooth connection for your ipod, phone etc..) For dining out, you will have a wide choice of restaurants and pubs, including the fabulous Sosban Restaurant (voted the Best Restaurant in Wales) just a 5 minute walk from Awel y Môr and the Machynys Bar and Brasserie a little further along the coast. The Sandpiper (Brewer's Fayre) is ideal for family meals and entertainment and is also within walking distance. If you'd prefer to cook, we have provided you with a well specified kitchen with large fan oven, induction hob, microwave, coffee maker and wide range of utensils. Not forgetting, of course, the all important full size dish washer!

We are new to the holiday rental business but please don't be put off with that!
Our apartment is nicely furnished and was fully redecorated and furnished in May 2014. We are really passionate about making your holiday a success and our business a success too!
We have both retired from full time occupation - Wyn has completed over 30 years in the fire and rescue service and Delyth has even more experience in local government, health and law.
We live just over six miles away from the apartment and love the beach in front of the apartment and the location around.

We bought the property early this year (2014) and, after viewing several in the area, chose this one as it has a fabulous view from the master bedroom and, despite being so close to the beach, it is really peaceful!

There is so much to see and do in the area, ranging from a number of quality golf courses, fabulous restaurants, Pembrey Country Park, the Wildfowl Centre, shopping at Trostre and much much more!

IMMACULATE PROPERY WITH GREAT OPPORTUNITIES FOR CYCLING AND WALKING
The apartment was modern and bright and included all the creature comforts of home. From the moment you arrive you can start your holiday - the views from the master bedroom, the access to the Millennium Coastal Path for both cycling and walking, the proximity to the shops to get supplies and the beach right outside the front door!
The owners where unable to greet us in person but had left complimentary tea/coffee, biscuits and wine for our arrival which was a lovely touch with which to start our stay. The kitchen had everything necessary to cook and clean up from a family meal - plenty of cutlery, crockery, pots, pans and utensils and the luxury of a dishwasher topped it off! The convenience of a washer/dryer was also a great asset, especially after those days at the beach!
The bathroom was equipped with a P bath with overhead shower, with loads of water pressure!
Our children enjoyed all the movies and programmes on the Netflix - unfortunately we didn't have time to try it out ourselves - with full and active days out we were ready for the comfy bed each evening, although we did make use of the TV in the bedroom to watch the Olympics! The master bedroom has a view over the bay towards the Gower Peninsula.
The location is fabulous if you enjoy cycling and walking! There is the Millennium Coastal Path right outside the door and the route goes for miles - we did at least 20 miles each time we went out on the bikes (would have done more if the children could have managed it)! There is also a cycle route up the valley which can be accessed from the Coastal Path. The Gower Peninsula is the best place for beaches (approx. 45 minute drive) - these are fantastic beaches, but you need to go early to get a carpark at the best ones!
I would definitely recommend this apartment - it is truly a home away from home and we left feeling refreshed and renewed.
Perfect Apartment and Location
The apartment was lovely, modern and comfortable. It also had little extras like a Netflix account and a Deezer account so you can select movies and music to chill out in the evenings. The owners are lovely too, when we arrived there was a home made cake and a bottle of wine in the fridge for us. As for the location you couldn't really get any better! Literally walk out of the door and the beach is there for you. We will stay here again and have already told our family and friends they should book a stay here. There are plenty of places to eat also around the area and there is a book in the apartment with a list of these. We chose a place called Bryngwyn Newydd to eat one night, it was about a 5 minute drive from the apartment and we were very impressed, the quality of food and service was excellent and it was priced reasonable too. Thanks for making us feel welcome Wyn and Delyth.
Have just had 5 wonderful days at Awel y Mor. Fabulous apartment and location. Everything you could possibly want and more. The owners could not be more helpful. Cant wait to come back.

The apartment is less than a mile (walking) from the Festival Fields - the location of the 2014 Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Cymru / National Eisteddfod of Wales and, with its own parking, the apartment is an ideal location to stay for the event.
Saturday is our preferred change over day but we are flexible with bookings to suit our guests' needs.
