Our stay in May: we were the first guests here and so the pool and gardens were very new. The pool was a lovely treat for us - our own pool - The boys enjoyed the novel idea of the bunk beds and we enjoyed comfortable nights in the larger bedroom. The cottage is very rustic - from the terracotta ceilings with huge beams to the old fire place, it was lovely to experience an old Tuscan family cottage.

A couple of days out to the fair in Castiglion Fironeinto )lots of flag throwing, drums and pageantry along with various places to eat and try local cuisine. The other way is Trstina which has a few restaurants and large supermarkets too. We made day trips to Assisi. Montepulciano, Cortona and the lovely town of Pienza. All worth while.

We had a relaxing vacation - despite a few cloudy days - and - a pool that was newly opened and a little cool!

Good value and a happy family holiday

  • 5 of 5

For us, this was definitely good value for money. A charming rustic cottage with the privacy of our own pool.

We enjoyed our time at your cottage and appreciate all you did for us. The holiday was fantastic. The house is better in real life than the pictures show. Terry was very helpful when making the arrangements. Piera and Laura were charming and gave us a nice welcome, they were really great. The pool, garden and house were good for the kids. Everyone loved it. The views from the terraces and pool - beautiful. Eating meals outside was a real treat for us to enjoy.

All important for us was that the cottage was clean and comfortable. The cottage is not huge, but had all we needed to enjoy our two week holiday. THe cottage is a little remote, so we chose to have one day in and another out sight-seeing. There are though many places to visit along with many festivals - and we were lucky to enjoy the Palio and medieval pageantry in Castiglion Fiorentino

In terms of negatives, there were really not any. I would mention a minor issues, just for your knowledge:) the house can use some fans, for the bedrooms.

But as I said, the experience and house were truly amazing. My family loved it, and that is the most important thing by far!

Enjoyable family holiday

  • 4 of 5

Our first time to Italy and this little cottage was our lovely home for the two weeks for us to explore parts of Tuscany and Umbria.

The cottage is small, but we found it perfect for our small family - including the private pool, terraces and gardens where we enjoyed the surrounding views and countryside. The garden was newly planted, but pretty.

The owner Piera and her daughters were very sweet, showing us around and letting us taste their olive oil, wine and honey. The cottage was clean and the beds comfortable and we found most things we needed in the fitted kitchen

A great start to future Italian adventures.

Enjoyable intro to Tuscany

  • 4 of 5

Our first time to Toskana. This little cottage was perfect for us ( 2 adulta and two young children) to relax and enjoy the area with our own pool and garden. The drive to the cottage was a little long on first day, but this was not disapointing. The cottage, very charming, if rustic, clean, comfortable and presentabile. The kitchen too with many facilities. Good place and i expensive
