About Deborah Helps

We live only an hour away from the North Cornwall Coast and were really excited to be able to purchase the cottage for our family to use as a second home.

Our children love the Cornish beaches and are keen surfers so this peaceful, safe cottage is perfect for us all.

Deborah Helps purchased this cottage in 2014

Why Deborah Helps chose North Cornwall

We wanted to buy a property near to the surfing beaches for our children, whilst satisfying the rest of the family with fabulous coastal walks, restaurants and some peace and tranquillity. Whist we are a stones throw from Padstow, Rock, Polzeath and surrounding attractions, the property is set in a quiet, safe rural setting, away from hustle and bustle. There is plenty of space for the children to play, woods to explore and a sunny aspect to enjoy.

What makes this cottage unique

We have just finished refurbishing the property. We have installed a new well equipped kitchen and bathroom, redecorated throughout and furnished from new. All beds and appliances are brand new. Free Wi Fi is provided.

High standard of accommodation as usual

As before a week of comfortable and quiet surroundings. Great places to go and the location helps immensely . Only " slightly tongue in cheek " in these days of larger tv's could we have a larger one please ? Otherwise cottage is up to a high quality standard , highly recommended and thanks to Deb!

Owner's Response: Lovely to have you to stay again. I have tried really hard to balance the room with the sizing of all the furniture and equipment. I will certainly consider it when the TV needs replacing. You are welcome to return anytime x

Beautiful Cottage in quiet location

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is the best we have ever stayed in. We found it clean and tidy, which reflects on the owners who put a lot of care into maintaining the quality. Welcome pack was appreciated. However we did have a sainsburys home delivery order for our arrival, saves that mad chase for essentials. Communication with Debs has been prompt, and still cant thank you enough for everything you have done, which made our break possible x Ideal for couples & families, with great outdoor space. Close to Rock & Polzeath, and short drive to Padstow. Great cycle trails and beach walks. Rock to Polzeath return walk about 5 miles, check tide times for beach part! National Trust Bedruthan Steps & Lanhydrock was our fav, and dont miss Chough Bakery Padstow, for Pasties. We will return again.

Beautiful cottage in lovely quiet location

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is beautifully decorated and very well equipped and is in a lovely quiet spot. It is very close to all the lovely beaches around Rock, Padstow and Port Isaac and it is also near enough for days out to Penzance, the Minnick Theatre, the Eden Project etc. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby but it was also nice to spend evenings in the cosy cottage. The owner obviously loves the cottage and could not have been more helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely visit the cottage again.

Super holiday cottage !

  • 5 of 5

A holiday cottage of a very high standard. Debs provided a extremely comprehensive standard of customer service for the booking, and the presentation of the cottage including a great welcome pack. I can highly recommend this cottage even though it will make booking more difficult !

A good location for visiting many fantastic spots, Rock, Padstow, Port Isaac, Boscastle, Tintagel, Newquay etc.

Good restaurants and pubs locally although Mariners in Rock seemed overly expensive.

A beautiful cottage in a tranquil location.

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is obviously a place that the owners take great pride in and really care about. They have thought of everything you are likely to need in a holiday cottage and it really does feel like a home from home.

The communication between the owner and ourselves from our initial enquiry right through to us leaving the cottage was prompt, helpful and they genuinely wanted us to have a great experience in their home.

The cottage was spotless and tastefully decorated to a high standard. The outdoor space is also a real bonus, particularly for the children to run off excess energy or meet new playmates from other cottages. The location was ideal for visiting Polzeath, Rock and Daymer Bay beaches but far enough away from hustle and bustle during school holidays!

We would defiantly like to return to this cottage in the future.

Lovely family holiday.

  • 5 of 5

This was our first family holiday with our 8 month old little boy and this cottage was perfect. The cottage is lovely and clean and very well equipped. Debs kept in touch with us before our holiday and provided all the essential baby equipment we needed for our stay. The cottage had a travel cot, safety gate and high chair.

We spent our days out in Rock or Padstow or walking on local beeches. We loved returning to the cottage in the evening, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook an evening meal, when we would sit and watch the rabbits playing in the garden.

We look forward to returning for another holiday.
