Located in the the grounds of the former schoolhouse in Padstow, Number 14 is a modern end of terrace property only five minutes walk to Padstow Harbour. Recently fully refurbished throughout to an exceptionally high standard the property features 2 x double bedrooms and 1 further bedroom with bunk beds. There is a family bathroom, an en-suite from the master bedroom and a downstairs cloakroom w/c. There is a fully equipped kitchen featuring an induction hob, cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher. The living room has sofas and beanbags for relaxing on as well as an Internet TV and a Playstation 3 with a selection of games and films + 2 controllers. Outside there is a sunny, private patio with garden furniture. The property has its own car parking space adjacent.

Well presented house in perfect location.

Lovely, clean, well appointed house. Comfortable sofas and beds and beautifully decorated. The location was just perfect for us - 5-10 minutes walk to town centre but far enough out to access easily by car without going into the chaos of the town. A couple of minutes drive up the hill there is a large Tesco. The house has private parking right outside. There are views of the estuary from the back of the house and the sun streams in in the mornings. There is a dear little patio garden furnished with table, chairs and parasol for sitting out. We loved it and would certainly return there.

Fantastic place to stay in Padstow

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the house; the location is excellent, close enough to walk to town easily down the hill but still quiet and calm.

The designated parking space was ideal for us with a little baby, and there was visitor parking permit available too.

The equipment in the house was well considered with everything we needed was available to cook there.

Highly recommended if you want to stay in Padstow.

Owner's Response: The peacefulness the house and garden, whilst being so close to the town, is one of the things we have always loved the most about Old School Court.....along with the view of the estuary! And it is true that parking can sometimes be a problem in the town so to have a dedicated space so close to the house is a bonus. Wonderful week in Padstow

We've just enjoyed a wonderful week in Padstow in this lovely home from home. Fantastic estuary views and also equipped with everything you will need. The standard is really high and everything was immaculate on our arrival. Thank you for the welcome goodies too - very much appreciated after the long drive from Sussex. The added bonus is the brilliant location so close to the Harbour and all the great restaurants which we made use of several nights. We will certainly be back on our next visit to Padstow.

Absolutely stunning

Beautiful 'home from home', wonderfully decorated and very well resourced. Fabulous location with great views of the harbour. A 5-10 minute walk to the centre of Padstow, everything you could possibly need nearby. We had two young children and a grandparent along with us and it still felt spacious.

Plenty of places to visit nearby but so lovely to be able to walk into Padstow and not thing about parking or driving.

We have been to Cornwall staying in cottages every year for the past 6 years and this is by far the best place we have stayed for location and facilities - a very relaxing, warming holiday.

P.s. lovely Bakewell tart, milk in the fridge and tea bags for arrival were very much appreciated.

Can't recommend highly enough.

Perfect stay

Had a wonderful stay here for an extended weekend between the Easter and May bank holidays.

The weather wasn’t particularly kind to us as there was a bit of a chilly wind but the sun trap of a garden meant that we could still sit outside for breakfast every morning with stunning views over the estuary (eating pastries from Rick Stein's bakery just down the road).

The house is set back from the street so no street noise. And it is literally a couple of minutes walk to the town itself. The first place you will stumble upon is Rick Stein’s Bistro which I had heard is the place to go but didn’t quite trust the reviews. But it is every bit as good as they say.

The kitchen is well decked out, and a few extra bits had been thought through so we didn’t go without when we first arrived… such as ice for your G&T! And the rest of the house is beautifully decorated and furnished.

Our two year old thoroughly enjoyed himself running around the small but perfectly formed patio garden (and shoveling gravel in and out of the borders – sorry if you find stones under feet!).

The perfect place to stay if you have a young family and a hotel doesn't quite work for you.

Will definitely be back.

From the Owner

Old School Court is an ideal location from which to enjoy a holiday in Padstow. It is near enough to the town, and all of it attractions and restaurants, to be accessible within a five minute walk but is far away from the noise and hustle to make it a quiet and peaceful retreat. With stunning estuary views from the living areas and 2 of the bedrooms plus the fact that we have recently refurbished every room in the house to an exceptionally high standard mean that this holiday home is hard to beat.

Coast/Beach:

The nearest beach is St Georges bay which can be reached on foot from the town centre. It is approx. 1 mile walk. Other beaches accessible within a 5 - 10 minute drive include Harlyn Bay, Constantine Bay and Trevone beach.

Travel:

The use of a car is recommended to allow you to fully enjoy the surrounding areas and beaches - though is not essential. The nearest airport is Newquay Airport which is approx. 9 miles from Padstow.

Padstow to Wadebridge - 8 miles

Padstow to Rock - 14 miles

Padstow to Newquay - 17 miles

Padstow to Truro - 25 miles

Located on the North Cornwall coast, Padstow is a charming working fishing port. All the major amenities you would expect are here including banks (Barclays and Lloyds), a Post Office, Pharmacy and supermarket (Tesco).

It boasts a picturesque and busy waterfront and is surrounded by dramatic coastline and spectacular scenery. The area around Padstow is designated an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ with lovely cliff and country walks and a choice several superb sandy beaches with no less than 7 beautiful sandy bays within a five minute drive.

For foodies, Padstow is a dream destination as the town majors in fresh, locally produced food and is famous for the restaurants of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.

There is a weatlh of activities to do in Padstown from boat trips, fishing trips, crabbing and fishing. The Camel Trail is 18 miles of disused railway between Bodmin and Padstow which has been turned into a cycle track and walkway. Bikes can be hired in Padstow, Wadebridge and Bodmin.
