The Beehive

Gorgeous, modern 3-bed house which sleeps up to 8 people. Large open plan living/dining room with sleek well-designed kitchen and breakfast bar area. The master bedroom upstairs and second bedroom downstairs have superking beds which can be made into twin beds if desired.The third bedroom upstairs has twin beds. There is a shower room downstairs and bathroom upstairs. The walled garden offers a seating area, BBQ, firepit and fabulous views to Bodmin Moor and there is a further 3 acres of grounds to roam.

Butterbee House holiday lets

Two stylish contemporary holiday lets located near the Cornwall/Devon border and midway between the north and south Cornish coasts. In all, up to 12 people can be accomodated in comfortable light and airy bedrooms. Additionally we offer a double room in the main house for B&B guests. We offer the breakfast option to all our guests if you want a bit of spoiling during your stay with us. The Beehive is perfect for large families or groups of friends with plenty of outdoor space to explore, whilst The Chrysalis offers cosy accomodation for 2+2.There is plenty of on-site parking and a drying room and storage for cyclists and walkers. Perfectly situated for visiting the many local attractions: Eden Project, Cothele House and Quay, Tamar Valley outdoor pursuits, Morwelham Quay, Trethorne Leisure Park, St Mellion golf course and health club, Adrenalin Quarry to name but a few! If you wish to book fewer than 7 nights, this can usually be arranged, please do ask.

Why Linda Hilsdon chose Callington

Butterbee House is centrally located between the rugged north Cornwall coast and the south coast. Devon and its many attractions are within close proximity, as are the fabulous Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor. We are in a peaceful position with great views surrounded by fields, yet within walking distance of amenities, pubs and restaurants.

What makes this house unique

There is plenty of off-road parking, a private secluded garden with fire pit and BBQ. As we live close by, we are available should you have any queries or require tourist information.

Booking Notes:
Please ask if you want to book fewer nights as this can usually be arranged.
At the time of booking there is a 25% deposit to be paid. 8 weeks prior to arrival, the balance should be paid.
£150 refundable damages/cleaning deposit. We reserve the right to retain some or all of this if the Beehive is not left in the condition it is found, including a clean oven.
Changeover Day:
Changeover day is usually Saturday. Arrival is from 4pm, departure by 10am.

Notes on prices:
Please note a refundable deposit of £150 will be required to cover damages on payment of the final balance.

Outside: Extensive landscaped gardens with views to Bodmin Moor and several seating areas. Private walled garden with barbeque, patio dining table and fire pit. Basketball hoop, football goal and large lawned area for games. All bedding, linen and towels are provided. Saturday changeover.

Beautifully modern with stunning views

Stylish, spacious holiday home surrounded by idyllic landscapes. Great location and loads to do with young children (3-11) as well as grandparents. Linda and family are lovely and catered to our every need. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Very attractive place to stay

We have just stayed in the Beehive for 2 weeks. The accommodation is bright and airy, with great views. The ground floor is open plan so we were kept on our toes, at times, by our 1 year old grandson. The travel cot and highchair were very useful. The kitchen is very well equipped - I managed to make and decorate 130 cupcakes for our son's wedding during the first week!

It is an ideal base for visiting many of the attractions in Cornwall. We really enjoyed Cothele house and quay, National Trust properties that are close by (without grandson!).

Linda and family are very friendly and welcoming.

I would recommend this property to family and friends visiting the area.

Light & airy property with lots of space

I’ve just come back from spending five lovely days in The Beehive with my family (wife and two young children). I have to say that the property is really great and finished to a good standard. It was nice to have an open and airy space to retreat to when the cornish weather wasn’t playing ball. There’s plenty of space for the children, both inside and out. The location is good if you are planning to explore East Cornwall and West Devon. We visited the National Aquarium in Plymouth, ventured north to Padstow & Tevone Bay Beach, west to the Eden Project and explored along the south coast around Looe & Fowey. I suppose it goes without saying that a car is essential. I have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Great place to stay

We had a lovely time with friends and the dogs here. Accommodation was lovely, clean with plenty of room for the dogs and kids to run around in the garden. If your planning on exploring North Cornwall or Devon this is the perfect location. Peaceful settling allowing us to chill and relax all together with everything you need. A great week away.
