Guestbook comments from the owner

‘We’ve just returned from a lovely relaxing break at Lower Brook Cottage, the owners (living next door) couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful! Lovely walks right from the front door, and Bath close by for a bit of culture and shopping! Cottage very cosy and comfortable, we can’t wait to return.’ Lois and Freddie, Buckinghamshire, March 2014.

Wonderful relaxing break

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful little cottage in the heart of the countryside, but in very close proximity to Bristol, Bath and the Mendips (Cheddar Gorge etc) - as a small family with one child, it was the perfect place to unwind and really relax. There are a number of small charming villages in the vicinity, with great pubs and restaurants.

The cottage itself is perfect - clean, cosy and has everything you would need. You also have access to a lovely garden and the little stream at the back.

Steve and Sally could not have been more accommodating and friendly - they live next door so its a great feeling of security too.

It's a perfect getaway. If you are looking for a great base to explore Somerset and the wonderful city of Bath in particular, you won't do better than this place.

Thank you Steve and Sally!

Pleasant, well equipped and comfortable cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage sits in a quiet little hamlet and has a beautiful garden to the rear. It was clean, comfortable and kitted out with everything we could have expected and more. A good selection of local maps, a case full of books, a selection of CDs, a box of children's DVDs and enough cooking utensils to cook anything you could imagine. Everything was in perfect condition - we couldn't ask for more. If you're coming from a town, be vigilant on the local roads - they are very narrow and I've never seen so many walkers, horse riders and cyclists in one area. People are very healthy round here!
