About the Owner

The one bedroom apartment advertised here (FR23173) belongs to me. It was a dream come true for me when I took delivery of it in 2013. I love living in France and Scotland. I am interested in history, heritage and culture, particularly historic towns and cities.

The two bedroom apartment advertised here (FR24952), is situated directly above my apartment and belongs to Erik Solheim and family. I met Erik when we took delivery of our apartments and I now handle the UK bookings for Erik who lives in Norway.

Remember that for larger parties, you could rent both apartments together.

'We are now back in rainy Lancashire after a super holiday in France. Your flat was delightful so well thought out and equipped. Biot was lovely and though we did venture out of the village we spent most of our time relaxing in the bars and cafes! Sarah was very helpful greeting us and saying good bye, fortunately we did not have to trouble her otherwise.... We hope to be able to return to your beautiful flat.'

Wonderful apartment in a charming small town

Apartment is even better than described everything is provided and very well organised. We enjoyed the restaurants in Biot every evening and so convenient for travelling along the coast & hilltop villages etc will certainly return and could reccomend this apartment to anyone you will not be disappointed!

Perfect apartment in a superb location

The apartment is just as it looks on the photos, exceptionally clean, well equipped, modern and bright. Zoe has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. No need to take your hairdryer or rucksack or even umbrella, it's all there. Even some DVDs of films we hadn't seen at home. The balcony has lovely views down to the sea and across the hills. The bed was large and very comfortable and with the blinds shut the bedroom was cool and dark so good infact that we slept for 9 hours one night. Biot is a lovely friendly place and the apartment is so close no need to use the car at all. Garage parking was a bonus and I also used the nice cool swimming pool. Lots of bars and restaurants in Biot which is five minutes walk away and a regular bus service to Antibes and also the train station. The bus stop is only two minutes walk from the apartments.

Zoe is a very thorough and careful owner and obviously takes a lot of pride in her apartment, excellent customer service from Zoe and also Sarah and her daughter the property managers. This place is perfect we had such a relaxing week.

A luxury apartment in a charming village

We have recently returned from a lovely holiday in Biot, with our base this luxury apartment during our stay. This really is 5* accommodation, tastefully furnished and equipped to the highest standard, clearly a much loved home. The apartment is exactly as described in the listing and the additional detailed information provided by Zoe both in relation to the apartment, village and wider area was invaluable - it was an absolute pleasure spending time here. We would be delighted to return to the apartment and have no hesitation recommending it to others seeking high quality accommodation in this beautiful part of the south of France.

A beautiful apartment in a lovely village

A beautifully furnished and comfortable apartment with a balcony overlooking a lovely valley with the Med in the distance. It is only a few minutes walk to the historic village of Biot where there are lots of cafes and restaurants. It has a well stocked little supermarket, bakers and newsagent. We ate out most days and on others ate on the balcony in the sunshine. The weather was very kind enabling us to use the pool which is only a few steps from the apartment.

The bus stop is only a few yards away and we travelled to Antibes and Valbonne to visit the bustling market held on a Friday. We had a very relaxing holiday and will definitely return.

Excellent, modern, well-equipped apartment in Biot

We had a great time in Biot, set back in the hills from the busy Riviera coastline. The apartment is very modern, clean and spacious and is equipped with everything you need for your holiday. We particularly liked the large shower room and well equipped kitchen. The apartment has a balcony and an underground garage. There is also a small but pleasant swimming pool in the apartment block, right next to the apartment. The village square is just a few minutes walk away, and most days we bought our croissants in the local boulangerie and ate them with our coffee, sitting at the cafe in the square. The village has plenty of restaurants to choose from. If you don't want to use your car, a short bus ride takes you to Biot station from where you can catch a train to Monaco, Nice, Cannes etc. The owner was very friendly and efficient in the pre and post holiday communications and clearly loves her own apartment. I can understand why.

Location

From the Owner

I love this area. There is so much to do and you can fully immerse yourself in everything the south of France has to offer - plus enjoy the convenience of being only about half an hour from the airport and a bus ride of about 5km to Antibes and its beaches. Or you can explore over the hills to Valbonne, Grasse, St Paul de Vence....or just stay around Biot and walk to many first class restaurants and bars here. Life revolves around the square which is quintessentially French, with tables and chairs set in the shade of the plane trees, surrounded by cafes and the boulangerie. There is a small well stocked supermarket near the square and a market on Tuesdays. With so many local restaurants and bars, there's no need to argue about who is going to drive home!

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The nearest beaches are located just 3.5km away at Plaine de la Brague with the more fashionable beaches of Antibes and Juan le Pins between 5-7 km. All easily accessible by car or bus.

Travel:

Nice Airport is just 25 minutes away and there is a bus/train service to Biot. Also buses depart from outside the apartment to Valbonne and Antibes making a rental car unnecessary.

Distances:

The apartment is just a few minutes walk from all the great amenities that Biot has to offer. There are 36 restaurants and cafes in Biot including Les Terraillers which has a Michelin star and many others which are highly recommended. The local train station Gare de Biot is just 15 minutes away and connected by bus - from there you can go east to Ventimiglia and Nice or west to Cannes and beyond.

Further Details:

Biot is a typical French medieval hill town which is now a busy, vibrant community, with a great variety of bars, excellent restaurants and shops. All this is within an easy, level walk from my apartment so you can go out and enjoy, with no need to argue about who will drive! The main village street is largely pedestrianized and leads to the square which is at the heart of life here, onwards past the museum and to the oldest part of the village and the church. Biot hosts an excellent market on Tuesdays; the market in nearby Valbonne in Fridays is well known as one of the best in the area. Antibes' daily (except Sunday) covered Provencal market is fabulous and is a 'must see' too.

I love my apartment and live in it for several weeks each year. I have furnished it carefully with things I think are beautiful. I want to holiday somewhere which is distinctive, stylish and luxurious - at least as nice as home! I think you will find you will be very comfortable here. My apartment benefits from so many great restaurants and bars within a few minutes walking distance, that you can enjoy the South of France dream even without a car. I think my apartment is best described as an individual, stylish, luxurious gem - where you can truly relax and enjoy the Cote D'Azur lifestyle - the perfect location for a romantic holiday.
