About Coralie and David

Our names are Coralie and David. Coralie was bought up in this area. It offers a wealth of things to do and places to visit. I look forward to hearing from you.

Coralie and David purchased this barn in 2014

Why Coralie and David chose Dorstone

The Golden Valley is a beautiful place to be and ideally located for the Black Mountains and, one of my favourite places in the world, Hay on Wye, with it artisan shops, second hand book haunts and great foodie cafés. The River Wye and Offas Dyke path are close by.

What makes this barn unique

Great rural location with lots of walking routes including Offa's Dyke Path and the Black Mountains and in easy walking distance to the pub! The local village shop opens in the mornings selling local produce and Hay on Wye is just 6 miles away

Meadow End is comfortable and well equipped and visitors can picnic down at the lake behind the house. It also has a good utility room which is v warm all year round so useful for wet shoes and dogs!

Guestbook comments from the manager

We were a group of 14 (6 adults, 4 children) and we had a lovely stay at Meadow End over the Christmas period. The barn is lovely, warm and spacious with lots of character. Everything you can think of is provided and the surroundings are beautiful. There are lots of walks straight from your doorstop, including one to a superb local pub! They do great food and accommodated us all for an evening meal on Christmas Eve. I would happily recommend the barn."

A comfortable quality barn

  • 5 of 5

Set in a small village with a friendly pub, this barn was really comfortable and warm to stay in. The kitchen was great. We love cooking and there was an excellent range of utensils, cutlery and crockery. Everything in the property, from the towels to the tableware was quality. The entrance was a stone floor which was great for the dog during a wet week. The owners were very friendly. Despite the weather we found plenty to do in the area.

Simply Stunning!

  • 5 of 5

Meadow End Barn was the perfect choice for our family get together. We had a group of 8 adults and 4 children staying at this spacious property. It was presented in immaculate condition with a well equipped kitchen and the added bonus of those extra home comforts. Everyone in the group commented on just how nice the property was. We all thoroughly enjoyed our family meals on the large 12 place dining table.

Highly recommended property and would love to stay again in the future.

Gorgeous barn perfect for a family

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved Meadow End Barn. It was beautifully decorated, and all the bedrooms were spacious. The kitchen was well-equipped and we loved the breakfast bar that made it a social space whilst cooking. It sleeps 12 and accommodates12 with a large dining table and plenty of seats in the living area. There was a wide range of different games available to play and more books than an average library! Dorstone village is lovely with a fantastic pub and good walks. I would recommend this property to anyone and the owners couldn’t have been more accommodating of our needs. Would love to visit again!

Stunning property perfect for a big group

  • 5 of 5

We wanted to say a big thank you for this weekend, we had a brilliant time and in the words of my sister ‘the house is incredible’. The kitchen and living space are stunning with the high ceilings and features and so unique being on the first floor. The space was perfect for our family get together to all catch up. The bedrooms are all a great side and beautifully decorated and the house is very well equipped. The photos don't do it justice, I would certainly recommend.
