In the heart of a small and picturesque village, crossed by the Vezere river, a newly refurbished holiday home with large private garden and pool offers outstanding unobstructed views of the countryside and walnuts groves. The house is equipped to a high standard and with everything you may need if you are traveling with your family including WiFi and TV satellite. Direct access to the private heated swimming pool and full use of a 4000m2 (1 acre) large garden which includes BBQ, deck chairs, table and chairs for the terrace, everything to enjoy and rest after visiting this area of history, prehistory and gastronomy. You can relax or have a meal on the outside terrace overviewing the pool and the fields and hills or rest next to the fireplace in the winter. Moreover, because of the great exposure of the house, you can enjoy sunshine all the day round.

About the Owner

We are a French family with 3 children (21, 18 and 16)originally from Perigord but living now in the UK since 2005. Given that our parents are getting older we have decided last year to refurbish our family house which was abandoned to spend more time with them. We cannot return too often to France so we have decided to rent the house to make it available to people keen to discover the wonders of this region.

Great house, great location

My husband, our lovely springer spaniel and myself stayed here for a week. House is in a very quiet location, close to a bakery, restaurant etc. It is not far from Terrasson which has everything you need (supermarket, restaurants, vet, shops etc). The pool is fab!!! Even when we went out for the day we always ended up at the pool in the evening. House was clean and had everything you could need. Overall we were very pleased and will return again in the future :)

Fab house with great pool

We had a super fortnight here. The house is very well located in a lovely village. The boulangerie did great croissants (it's closed on a Wednesday but open every other day). Loads to do in the surrounding area - highlights for us were tree tops near Sarlat and canoeing from St Leon. Both day and night markets in Montignac were lovely. We found the Intermarché in Terasson had everything we needed. Bonus was finding a BMX track there too!

The house - very well equipped and clean. Beds comfy and the shutters meant we stayed cool at night. Plenty of fridge space and good washing machine. Garden a good size and we enjoyed watching out for the bat every night!

And finally the pool.. the kids barely came out! Really good size and nice to have a deep end. Comfy loungers and a good sized parasol. Would definitely return here if we holiday in this area again!

Perfect holiday location

We had a wonderful and relaxing holiday in this charming house. It is situated on the edge of a quiet rustic village and it was so peaceful in the evenings. The house is very well equipped and spotlessly clean and the pool was a huge hit with our children. It was the perfect base for visiting this beautiful and historic part of France. Our hosts, Pierre and Magali, were very helpful and accommodating. We hope to return and would highly recommend this accommodation.

Lovely House

We had a wonderful stay, the house a joy,light and peaceful, the right amount of seclusion for us, butcher and baker just a short walk away, lovely and clean everywhere, plenty of fresh linen, pool perfect. We ate in mostly, kitchen facility good. Location good, greeting, communication all good, I would recommended this lovely house, tucked away in this fine hamlet, if ever we return to this area, we would stay again.

Brilliant house in an ideal location - perfect

We (two adults and three kids aged 7, 10 and 12) have returned from a great two week holiday.

The house is lovely - full of character and spacious enough for the five of us. The WiFi worked perfectly, the garden is big and the pool was a big hit with the kids (and us). It is fenced off and could be locked so is safe for small children but is also large and deep enough to have plenty of fun.

The house is literally on the edge of a quiet picturesque village with impressive old buildings and narrow lanes. The patisserie is only a 3 minute walk away and there's also a butchers and a small shop. There are big supermarkets within a ten minute drive.

We went on various trips which included Lascaux II cave, Montignac, Sarlat, Prehistodino land, Hautfort Castle, Quercyland water park and Mini Golf. They were all between 10 and 45 minutes from the house.

Chateau de la Fleunie is 2kms from the house and is well worth a visit for lunch or dinner.

We would highly recommend this property.

Perfect holiday home!

This was a perfect holiday home for us as we are a large family , 2 adults and 3 young boys , plus 2 dogs.

The house is situated in a beautiful old rustic French village , surrounded by fields of corn and wooded hills.

The house has a lovely cosy feel to it and it's old charm is reflected by a wonderful decor and the furnishings. It was very clean and bright throughout.

For us the main attraction was the fantastic outdoor pool.Our boys , ages 6,9,10 absolutely loved it! It was big enough and deep enough for them all to enjoy and very safe with a surrounding fence.

The garden was huge and great for football and badminton and for the dogs.

The area was full of beautiful towns and villages such as montignac and Brive. Well worth visiting for lunches or exploring.

We visited an aquarium in La Bugue , the aquarium du perigord. The boys loved it and it was full of fish and alligators and snakes etc.

The housekeeper , Florence , in the house next door ,was very helpful and her husband Lorence looked after issues with the pool if there were any.

All in all a great house in a beautiful location.

Pierre , the owner , was very flexible in his attitude and very helpful with any problems. I would highly recommend this property!
