Guestbook comments from the owner

"What a lovely place to stay comfortable, spotlessly clean and close to everything you require, a great relaxing break"

David Henderson, Durham.

"The cottage is ideally situated for touring the many attractions in Northumberland, being not too far from any of them, especially Bamburgh Castle which is just three miles away. The house is spotlessly clean and well furnished and has all the bits and pieces you would need for a self catering holiday. Seahouses centre and late shops etc are just a five minute stroll and there's an excellent characterful pub 'The Old Ship' for evening meals. We ate there most evenings! To sum up; this is certainly one of the best self-catering holiday homes we've experienced and we'll certainly book it again."

Lovely place, very handy for all amenities

  • 5 of 5

Lovely clean property- very well equipped with everything you'd need to self cater. The house is really near the centre of the village and its very easy to get to shops and the beach. There's a bus stop very nearby so you can explore the coast to the north and south.

The house is a lovely welcoming place decorated tastefully with a maritime theme - there are two bathrooms and a loo downstairs so its so easy for the family to get ready in the morning.

We loved the puffin tea pot and mugs and loved the fudge and wine. Thanks so much we had a great time in Northumberland and definitely would recommend it

Lovely cottage & great location

  • 5 of 5

This was our first holiday in Northumberland & we really enjoyed our stay in Seahouses. The house was just the right size and covered all the bases plus just the right distance from the town. Wine & little treat was a nice surprise. We are walkers so mainly used the local bus to get to various start points & walk the coastal paths. Only used the car twice, once to Alnmouth to catch the train to Edinburgh, the other to Lindisfarne.

The weather changed from cloudy to sunny spells most days and best of all it didn't rain!

Perfect location

A perfect cottage for our week in Northumberland! Beautifully clean and well equipped, the spacious cottage is in a perfect location to explore the local countryside. 5 minutes walk to Seahouses, for a walk along the harbour or a boat trip to the Farne Islands. Bamburgh castle and Holy Island worth a visit, as is Cragside and Dunstanburgh castle ruins. Thank you!
