Quirky Bolthole with all the Trimmings!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed this cottage - it has everything you need for a wonderful break in the Lakes. It's location is second to none and lovely walks can taken directly from the door steps.

Internally it comes into its own.

The facilities, layout, equipment and furniture is of a very high standard without being fussy.

It is a lovely place to return to after a day on the fells, walks and surrounding villages.

We would highly recommend this property to anybody who loves the Lakes!

Beautiful cottage and fantastic location. Tastefully decorated throughout and well equipped. Thanks

  • 4 of 5

This is a beautiful cottage and a fantastic location. We were impressed at how tastefully it had been decorated and equipped to a high standard. The car park permit worked well although there is parking directly outside for one car. Good views from the master bedroom. Excellent storage for bikes in a locked outhouse together with chest freezer. Pleasant patio to the front for sitting and relaxing in the sunshine. So convenient to Ambleside centre and all it has to offer. The two bathrooms were a real bonus although we found only one shower could be used at any one time. Would highly recommend.

A very nice house in an excellent location

  • 4 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay in this house, which is very nicely furnished and presented and was very clean and generally well-equipped. It has a superb location within two minutes' walk of central Ambleside, while also convenient for embarking on walks. As we told the agent, the main light on the ground floor and another light weren't working, but they didn't manage to get anyone along to look, so it was a bit dark, but other than that, everything was great.

Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed the house. Sorry you had a problem with lights, we were not aware of this. There are always bulbs and help available, and we are always happy to be contacted directly. Sue and John

Excellent cottage and location

  • 4 of 5

Well appointed cottage, located close to the heart of Ambleside, but also nice and quiet.

Lovely views of the fells from the main bedroom, an excellent choice and just what we wanted.

Stunning property and so comfortable

  • 5 of 5

4 of us went for the weekend to find the perfect cottage! Every room was beautiful. We have stayed in a few places in Ambleside before and not one of them is a patch on this one. The devil is in the detail! It was obvious from the comments book everyone enjoys their stay. And any comment that suggests an improvement has been thoughtfully addressed. It was so handy to walk into town so we could happily celebrate the birthday we had gone away for!

Would recommend highly, and will definitely be booking again.
