Apartment in Peyia, Coral Bay, Paphos - Peaceful location, great pool and just a 5 minute drive to Coral Bay beach

Experience home comforts whilst on holiday in our home in the sun!

This year we have upgraded the TV to a 32" set and furnished the apartment with 2 beautiful pictures that we got from the indoor municipal market in Paphos, it's great to have something painted by local artists.

Our apartment also includes a Tassimo coffee machine (pods not supplied), Radio & IPod docking station, hairdryer as well as free Wi-fi, UK TV and sunbeds on the balcony. We have also added a cool bag and ice packs for you to use during your stay.

The Vanessa complex is situated between the village of Peyia and Coral Bay. A perfect retreat to escape from everyday life! Situated on the stunning Vanessa Complex with it's landscaped gardens the facilities (all shared) include sunbeds & a larger than average outdoor pool. A further smaller outdoor and indoor heated pool can be found downstairs where you will also find the gym, sauna and changing rooms. Private parking is also available. The apartment can be accessed via a lift and has stunning views of both the mountain and Peyia village, which is particularly beautiful when lit up at night. Just 15 minutes walk away is the traditional village of Peyia which has all the facilities you could need including, supermarkets, restaurants, banks, butchers and bakers. Coral Bay offers a beautiful sandy beach, water sports, further restaurants, shops and bars and is just 3 miles away. Paphos is just a 20 minute drive where you can find the superb harbour, fort and archaeological sites to explore. For those of you who are more adventurous the unspoilt Akamas Peninsula can be explored by quad bikes or a 4x4 which can be hired locally. Other places to visit would include the Troodos Mountains, there are some lovely villages on your trip up there as well as monasteries and various vineyards. If you fancy going further afield why not venture over to Nicosia, Ayia Naya, Larnaca or Limassol. Not far from Ayia Napa is Dherynia where you can view the ghost town of Famagusta, 40,000 people fled the town after the Turkish invasion in 1974. Closer to Paphos I would recommend visiting Pissouri, it has a beautiful beach and the hill top village is still very traditional. Latchi is a place we love to go for lunch. It has a lovely marina and is the ideal place to get a boat out to the Blue Lagoon. Alternative ways to reach the lagoon are to hire a quad bike, get the jeep safari or if you feel up to it you can walk! This is a fantastic location for year round holidays!

Why Karen Richardson chose Coral Bay Area

I purchased this property as I love Cyprus, it is a country that I feel very at home in. I adore the location as the village of Peyia is quite peaceful and you have bars, shops & restaurants all within walking distance yet 5 minutes drive away you have the beautiful Coral Bay beach and the plaza with a wider selection of restaurants, bars and nightlife. Paphos is close too with it's beautiful harbour and for those who love music I can recommend the Paphos festival when they turn the Fort into the backdrop for an open air opera - this was amazing!

What makes this apartment unique

The reason I picked this particular apartment was because of the space it offers and the fact that the bathroom is independent of the bedroom making it easy to access if you are using the sofa bed. Being on the second floor and accessed by a lift or stairs the views are amazing and the large balcony is the perfect place to sit and recharge your batteries! The apartment has been well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday.

We had a fantastic time – the apartment was great, exactly what we were looking for – it had it all, beautiful positioning of the balcony where we had complete peace and quiet or down to the pool ( although that was very quiet too ) but as I said just how we wanted it. We had everything we needed. We would definitely look to book again.

Outside: The double balcony has a patio table and 4 chairs as well as sunbeds. The complex has landscaped gardens, three swimming pools, a sauna, Jacuzzi bath and gym. All of Vanessa's facilities are shared. Private parking is available for guests as are sunbeds to use round the pool. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Fresh towels, including beach/ pool towels and bed linen are provided. A washing machine and clothes airer is available in the apartment for your own laundry. The apartment will be cleaned prior to your arrival and after your departure. Other: The balcony area has a patio table and 4 chairs over looking the mountain and the village of Peyia. Great for dining alfresco and fantastic views at night. 2 sunbeds are now also available for use on the balcony.

Peaceful and relaxing

We were pleasantly surprised at how spacious the apartment is. There is everything you need to relax and enjoy yourself

It has been decorated and furnished very tastefully.

We have enjoyed our stay and are sad to go home. But we are already looking for flights to return

great apartment

Our wee apartment was perfect; well proportioned and thoughtfully stocked and furnished. the Air con was bliss after a hot day out. the complex was lovely and the pool was amazing.

we couldn't have asked for more from our holiday and the apartment helped make it the wonderful holiday it was. it was clean, airy and light. the umbrella outside made having breakfast on the balcony a must and we did most mornings.

we had noticed comments in the comments book about how the toilet struggled to flush. it was fine. yes it took a few minutes to refill but that's just Greek plumbing; we've had that experience elsewhere.

The only things we noticed were that the oven wasn't working (or i just couldn't figure it out) and the TV box wasn't really working but we didn't go on holiday to watch TV.

we're not generally people who go back to the same place twice but our experience in Cyprus has already got us talking about coming back next year. a great package overall and a lovely apartment.

Great Apartment

We returned this year after spending 10 days there last year. We love the location and the area, we will definitely stay here again when we go back. The apartment its self is great and has everything you need!

Excellent apartment

Apartment is excellent, clean and modern.

The area again was fine but, however we found a car was essential, because it was so hilly and we were limited in how far we could walk for pleasure and for a restaurant.

The pool was lovely, plenty of beds, however not many umbrellas.

Home from home.

First class apartment with all facilities. Located on steep hillside about 3 kilometres from Coral Bay. Unless you are a mountain goat or very, very fit walking is not an option. A car is essential!!! Very good wifi when all plugged in correctly. TV is provided by the FilmOn and Kodex apps. If you have these on your tablet it is usually better than watching the TV set. Weather prevented use of outdoor pool. Indoor pool small but OK for a quick dip. If arriving at night take a torch. The corridor/external night lights not good. Check along the walls for a light switch to turn on the main lights. Are on a timer for about 2 minutes before going off. Overall the accommodation is excellent but not a location to which I would return on the grounds of "been there, done that".

Accurate information according to the photos and description

We really enjoyed our stay in Karen's home. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped, it had everything we needed, including pool towels (saves packing) and a lilo both very handy for the pool and great for kids. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance. We had a car which made it easy to access the beach, Paphos, ancient sites etc.

The outdoor pool is large and clean. During our stay at the end of October it wasn't very busy.

Very happy we came to Peyia and Karen's apartment.

Adjacent to this is the "Sea Caves" area which is a rocky peninsula that is great for snorkelling or scuba diving.

Travel:

Paphos is the nearest airport and is approximately a 30 minute drive to the apartment. There is so much to see we would recommend that you hire a car. However, if you have decided not to hire a car we can arranged for you to be picked up at the airport for a small fee. There is a bus service through Peyia which you can use to get to both Coral Bay and Paphos.

Polis/ Latchi - 15 miles, 25-30 minute drive

Cyprus is a large island in the Eastern Mediterranean sea.

Temperatures are on average much higher than most European Countries.

Driving in Cyprus is on the left hand side of the road, same as UK.

The apartment is fitted with UK standard 3 pin plugs.

Peyia has lots of traditional tavernas and restaurants. Boat trips can be booked in both Coral bay or along the harbour in Paphos.
