Absolutely stunning views, amazing walks on the cliffs. Perfect cottage for a quiet beach break.

  • 5 of 5

My family and I have just returned from a weeks stay in Beach Cottage. The house is set on the top of the cliff in Porthtowan, the views are stunning and unspoilt. The walks on the cliffs are easily accessible by using the bridle path at the front of the house, you can walk for miles on these cliffs.

The house itself is large and well maintained. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, the bathrooms are plentiful and perfectly clean. The kitchen is a large and social space with wonderful views of the beach. The lounge was large enough for the whole family (7) to sit in and spend time, the log burner was a joy to sit in front of when the snow came down!

Porthtowan itself is such a wonderful little village, the Blue Bar on the beach is a lovely place to spend time.

All in all we couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay, we’re all very busy people in our day to day lives so to have the space, the views and the peace and quiet to recharge was absolutely wonderful.

Thank you Mark for letting us stay, we will definitely be back.

Fantastic 50th birthday weekend

  • 5 of 5

I rented this property because I wanted to wake up somewhere with a sea view on my birthday. And what a lovely view!

Beach Cottage is beautifully presented - our master bedroom felt very glamorous and my husband, friends and I loved having breakfast watching the beach below.

The location was perfect for us - we got to walk the dog on the beach and have lunch in the Blue Bar. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed a lovely walk on the coastal path, with some of the group even spotting dolphins.

Beach Cottage had everything we wanted, we left this morning wondering when we could arrange to come back.

Excellent family retreat.

  • 5 of 5

Beach Cottage met our expectations perfectly and was every thing it said 'on the tin'. In fact my daughter felt it was actually better than the photographs. We had a wide age range to cater for (our 2 month old grandson/me celebrating my 71st birthday) and with 6 adults/3 children and a dog in tow found the amities provided suited us admirably. Add to that the beautiful location it's fair to say we had a wonderful time and will return again. A well equipped and spacious cottage well worth visiting. The Mundy/Russel clan.

A special time in Porthtowan

  • 5 of 5

Our family party of 9 had a wonderful time in Beach Cottage. The property was spotlessly clean and well-maintained with easy access to the beach and the coastal walk..

It has a kitchen you can cook in and an expansive deck for outside meals and a internal dining room if it gets cooler.

I heartily recommend the property.

Kathy.

Superb location and very well equipped ,fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic family break celebrating my 50th, the views are simply stunning, what a delight opening the bedroom curtains to a wonderful view of the beach and eating breakfast in the kitchen watching the waves crash in, the premises are very well equipped with all needs catered for, we highly recommend the Blue bar on the beach, again stunning views, excellent coffee and a fun curry and quiz night on the Sunday evening, the other local pub the Unicorn is also worth a visit just doesn't have the setting directly on the beach, I must mention the amazing Sunday roast at the Victory Inn which is within walking distance of the cottage, it really is a must !! I can say with certainty that we will be visiting again soon.
