Ideal Location and Fabulous Pool.

  • 5 of 5

Loved our stay at this villa which offered privacy via large hedge and trees, no noise, and a very convenient location for shopping and restaurants. Great time had by all!

Not clean or well maintained. Management company useless

  • 2 of 5

This villa was filthy. Had obviously not been properly cleaned for months. The bathrooms in particular were disgusting. On arrival late on a Saturday night we set about trying to make a meal and found that 1 of the cooker rings were not working, there was no grill pan and only one oven tray. There was only a small 2 slice toaster and the dishwasher was a small table top type. The handles were loose on most of the pots and pans and the corkscrew was broken. Not exactly set up for 6 guests to self cater. We also found that there was only 1 storage shelf left on the fridge door. I assume that the others had broken off at some point and never replaced. The next morning we sent an e-mail to the management company detailing our complaints. When we received no reply we had no option to purchase cleaning products and clean the place ourselves. By the Tuesday there was still no response from the management company so we sent another e-mail asking why they had not replied and requesting that we receive a change of sheets on the Friday. They eventually replied at 2250 that night and stated that they would pass on our concerns to the owner but took no action to address any of the problems with the cooker etc. During our second week we noticed that that light fitting in 1 of the bedrooms had come loose from the ceiling and was hanging only by the electrical cable. We again e-mailed the management company to advise them of the danger this posed but again got no reply. Towards the end of our stay the light in the upstairs bathroom stopped working and one of the lights blew in the cooker hood. By that time we had given up informing them of any problems as they were obviously ignoring us. The pool was only cleaned once during our stay, 2 days after we arrived. The owner of this property is also the owner of the taverna at the bottom of the road and it would appear that he and his family are responsible for the "cleaning." If he was indeed informed of our problems by the Management company then he did nothing to remedy them and in fact choose to ignore us when we were passing. I would not advise anyone to stay here.

Nice villa with excellent pool area, but poorly managed.

  • 4 of 5

The villa is in a very good location, away from the main Coral bay strip, but close enough to walk to (30 mins) or a short taxi ride (€8) away. There is a nice bar/restaurant just at the bottom of the hill from the villa (2 min walk). The villa was well maintained and everything worked (except for the one hair dryer). We found it very odd that there was no welcome booklet in the villa, to explain details such as, how to use the safe, when and where to put the bins out, local amenities and when to vacate, etc.

As we were staying for 10 days, we expected to have maid service mid way through (as stated on the booking page), but this did not happen. So we did not get a change of bed linen or towels for the whole stay. I did try to contact the manager but did not get any response.

Be aware that although all of the bedrooms have air conditioning, they are on timers, and can only run for 4 hours at a time, so we did wake up in the middle of the night to turn it back on most nights.

The pool and garden area was fantastic and where we spent most of our time. It was very well maintained. This could be an amazing holiday stay, if only it was managed a bit better.

A brilliant relaxing place to stay, quiet and friendly with amaizing veiws

  • 4 of 5

We have just come back from our stay in this lovely villa, one of the best relaxing hols we have had. This villa has everything you could possible need. We did however hire a car for a week from U2 Car Hire at the bottom of Coral Bay which I would not hesitate to use again, I think you may need a car if you want to see a bit more of the area, the road to the beach which is only 20 minutes walk away in my opinion is a little busy and not lit up at night so I wouldn't recommend walking into Coral Bay after dark. Saying that you can get a taxi for 8 euros to and from Coral Bay.

There is however a brilliant restaurant at the foot of the hill (100 metre away) which serves excellent food and also has tribute bands on twice a week.

The pool was and is cleaned twice a week . This was done early in morning so as not to disturb your swimming

Everyone was very friendly and helpful especially James at the StoneHouse Inn Restaurant who gave us information regarding places to visit etc.

I would recommend going to this villa and we are looking forward to another holiday there ourselves.

Lovely, peaceful villa

  • 4 of 5

Property was situated in a beautiful area, surround by well maintained gardens, I would recommend a hire car to experience the full facilities coral bay and the local areas have to offer. The pool and gardens where tended weekly and there was a weekly cleaning service. Overal my stay at the villa was a very relaxing and looking forward to returning next year.

Nice villa in quiet location with lovely pool

  • 4 of 5

The villa was very clean & tidy and there was plenty of room for all 6 of us. The kitchen was well equipped, although it seemed weird there was not a single Cloth/Spare Bin Bag/W Up Liquid/DW tablet/Cling Film/Salt n Pepper etc. in the place, so we had to go out shopping almost immediately & buy all the basics as well as food. Surely other guests leave some of this stuff behind?

The bathroom facilities were not perfect, the upstairs shower over the bath wasn't particularly good and everyone seemed to use the downstairs shower room which was a bit gloomy. There was aircon in all the bedrooms, which was a godsend. The TV only had local channels, so bring DVDs.

The good-sized pool was kept in very good condition and this year was the first in many, when neither my daughter or I have picked up and ear infection from the pool. There is the Stonehouse pub/restaurant about 100m down the hill, which was very welcoming and Costas Taverna about 15 minutes walk away towards Pegia. Just the standard touristy food in both, but good value for money. In fact it's worth trying the Cypriot wine, which is a lot cheaper than the imported wine and is a reasonable drink.

Coral Bay itself was a 1.5km walk along a relatively main road, ok to walk along during the day if you can stand the heat, but I wouldn't advise walking along it in the dark. A taxi costs about Euro 10.00.. Coral Bay is very touristy, but we did have a couple of good meals out there. The beach itself is another 0.5km on, it had dark sand but was clean. Sunbeds cost around Euro 7.50 a day, but because of the heat we tended to just use our towels to sit on & only stay down there for an hour or two.

The Philipos supermarket in Coral Bay was very well stocked & they run a free delivery service to bring all your groceries home, just ask for delivery at the till. It saved a fortune in taxis & car hire.

We hired a car for a couple of days, but the local buses run every 10 minutes into Paphos (Euro 1.50), so unless you want to go further afield, you can manage without a hire car.

The Aphrodite water park in Paphos was great, we were there towards the end of the main season, so there were loads of free sunbeds & we didn't queue at all for most of the slides. We ended up going twice as you can get a cheap return visit when you leave the park. Book your 1st visit online to get 15% off.

I would recommend this villa, if you want a quiet location. If you have small children, you would need a car.

Location

Coast/Beach:

Coral Bay Beach is about 7 or 8 minutes away on foot and offers a beautiful sandy bay and numerous water sports.

Travel:

Paphos International Airport is 20km away, and Larnaca International Airport is about 1.40 hour away.

Distances:

The villa is located sufficiently away from the main strip of Coral Bay but yet within walking distance of a number of restaurants and tavernas. It is also a very short drive from the centre of Coral Bay. Located at just 1km away is Philipos Supermarket which is a well known chain supermarket, and within a few minutes walk are a wide selection of restaurants, tavernas, cafes, ranging from Tex Mex to Italian, local, Chinese and even a fish & chip restaurant!

Further Details:

The villa will appeal to both first time visitors to Coral Bay, as it is very conveniently located, but also to regular visitors as it offers a unique setting of space and privacy.
