We are a couple that run a Scuba diving center in Llafranc on the Costa Brava. Miriam is half Spanish/Dutch and Mark is Australian.

We have traveled a lot over the world, and therefore know very well what people are looking for on their holidays. We hope you enjoy our little piece of Paradise and get out to explore all the small beaches and old towns in the area!

very modern clean apartment, five minutes walk from town centre 10 minute drive to beach!

Really modern apartment with all the amenities you could wish. Lovely patio area where you overlook Palafrugell; the church and hills in background are just unreal. Palafrugell Isa lovely town and is just five minutes away from apartment to town square.

The beaches at Lafranc, Callela are just a 10 minute drive.

The apartment has underground secure parking which is a real bonus.

The owners Miriam and Mark are just a text or email away and have been a pleasure to deal with; extremely helpful regarding local knowledge.

All in all a lovely holiday in wonderful accommodation. We will return!

Outstanding appartment

This apartment is great, location is perfect with supermarkets, fresh fishmonger, deli and butchers one minute walk away. Walking distance to Palafrugell town which is great on a Sunday for the market. Lots of great beaches nearby.

The apartment itself is clean and modern with everything that you need and more. Love the upstairs with the roof terrace and BBQ. Sky TV and WiFi give the home comforts and the owner left us a stocked cupboard with laundry detergent etc. Nick and Helen ( the owners) we're really helpful and have made a perfect place to enjoy a spannish break. Definitely will return.

Great apartment-excellent value

We were looking for something town -based, fairly private, but close to amenities. This was perfect. The apartment was walking distance to markets, cafés and restaurants - KoSa being a particular highlight. The rental included specified underground secure parking. We were 3 to start, two more joined us for the middle weekend. The lounge was a little tight for 5 adults. This is the only reason it scored 4 stars and not 5. The two main bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space. The terrace was a lovely space to sit for morning coffee or an evening brandy, and was a sun trap in between!

Beaches were a 5minute drive away. Llafranc was our choice, but Tamariu and Calella were lovely too. Barcelona is an hour and a half on the train from Flaca.

The apartment was very clean, well maintained and secure. Having two bathrooms was a bonus! The apartment included a large fridge-freezer, washing machine and dishwasher all in good working order. The gas BBQ on the terrace relieved the congestion in the kitchen. Mark and Mim couldn't have been more amenable and welcoming and were very contactable if you needed them.

All in all, this was a great apartment and excellent value. The listing is pretty accurate and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Great apartment in a great location

We are an English couple in our mid 50's and wanted a comfortable quiet apartment located within walking distance of restaurants and shops. This has exactly that and is only a few minutes drive to the beautiful coastal resorts of Callela, LLafranc etc. Also there is every supermarket you could want, from Eroski within 3 minuts walk to Lidl, Aldi, Mercadona etc on the ring road. It is easily accessable from Barcelona or Girona (or France) by car and has good underground parking (best for small hire cars !). The listing does not quite do the property justice - it has just been refurbished and is very smart. The owners were still adding a few extras when we were there in June 2014 - Mark turned up with a toaster (for those of you that like English toast) while we were there. The kitchen is at the back and is a little small but works well. There is a good new Philips Senseo coffee machine (Lidl cheap for bags). The terrace faces west and has great views over the small town and fantastic sunsets. Early evening BBQs are great but a bit warm. If you are not cooking then it is a 5 minutes walk into the town centre - try L'arcobaleno for reasonable simple plates / very good pizzas and good service.

The apartment owners are very helpful, contactable and affable. Our incomming flight from Rome was delayed and we had to put back our meeting with Miriam (to guide us to the apartment) by 2 or 3 hours - she took it with very good grace.

Summary -

Very good - a great small town penthouse apartment within 5 minutes of the coast.

For us very nearly 5 stars.

After traveling the world for quite a few years, we decided to set camp in this area as we took a diving center in Llafranc, a small fishing town only 5 minutes from Palafrugell. We love the fact that you are very close to everything and you can enjoy either Winter or Summer! In less then 2 hours you can either at the beach, skiing in the mountains or shopping in Barcelona!!

Nearest Airport : Gerona at 40 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Calella - Llafranc - Tamariu at 4 Kilometres Car: recommended

There are plenty of activities to do in the area, from walking, sailing, golfing, cooking courses, scuba diving, kayaking, cycling, museums to visit, old medieval towns...


Llafranc, Calella and Tamariu, only 5 minutes by car. All three of them are some of the most beautiful beaches on the Costa Brava. Rugged coastline with pristine clear wáter, also perfect for families with small kids. Some beaches are Sandy and some other are from small pebbles.


Girona Airport is 35 minutes by car and Barcelona Airport one hour and a half.

Bus connections from both airports to Palafrugell, and it's very easy to find car rental in any of the towns or airports.

Further Details:

Palafrugell has a local market on everyday, and on Sundays it is even bigger. Lovely little cafés and terraces to watch the world go by. Plenty of options for restaurants and also supermarkets, all walking distance.
