Very Clean, surprisingly spacious, excellent position for harbour, beach and town.

When we arrived and saw the exterior of the house,it was difficult to imagine how 2 people could fit in it, but inside was spacious with an efficient layout making full use of available space. Nice goodies pack upon arrival. Not the best view from the downstairs windows but view from bedroom (over the boat yard to the sea) was better. But that didn't matter because the view of the harbour as you left the front door and turned left was beautiful.

We used the adjacent car park when at the cottage (owners provided free car park pass), it was pretty much full on Saturday so suggest arriving early to get a good space, a little less full on Sunday and several spaces midweek.

Zarina and Chris were friendly and helpful and everything was provided for a lovely stay at the cottage.

Absolutely stunning, cosy little cottage.

  • 4 of 5

Property and stay fantastic but spoilt by extreme rudeness to myself on departure. DO NOT overstay your welcome. We were told to drop keys at main house but could find no information whatsoever in the cottage as to what time we had to vacate. No wi-fi in cottage...couldnt get e mails, so went with 11am, While putting last bits in car (coats etc) a gentleman who I presume was the owner arrived. I immediately said how beautiful the cottage was only to get the hostile reply..".I've been waiting over an hour to get in here and clean and have more properties to do. Now i am running late." At this point my partner came out of the cottage to lock up. We both humbly apologised and attempted to explain to no avail. My partner was even asking about their other cottages. Sorry not for me, I dont enjoy being spoken to like that.

Owner's Response: We met you at the cottage on the day you arrived to drop the key and parking permit off for you. It was explained then that the key and permit would have to be returned to the main house by 10.00 am on the day of departure. 10.00 am check out time is also clearly mentioned in all correspondence when reservations are confirmed, by email, stated in the terms and also detailed in the rental agreement for all bookings made through the homeaway portal. A copy of this email was sent again two days prior to arrival. I am very sorry you were unaware of the departure time. 10.00 am is pretty standard as change overs do take time. I also apologise if we were rude to you. This was not intentional. But late departures do put us under a lot of pressure to complete the change overs in time. Thank you again for choosing to stay with us. We appreciate your feedback. Zarina and Chris

late summer holiday in Barmouth

  • 3 of 5

We stayed in this cosy cottage for a week and were very happy to be so close to the fabulous beach, the estuary and town facilities. The cottage contained all we needed and we shall certainly stay there again. The owners are extremely helpful and close to hand if needed. One tiny point Zarina - having found the car park and back route through to the cottage with your helpful instructions, a door number would be great!! Thanks again, we really enjoyed our stay.
