Cottage in Borrowdale, Nr. Keswick, Lake District, Cumbria, England - A Beautifully Positioned, 3 Bedroomed, Rustic, Lakeland Self-catering Cottage With Private Parking

Borrowdale is reputed to be the most beautiful valley in England. Castle Lodge is situated in the heart of the valley, on a quiet lane near Rosthwaite. Step outside the cottage and you are welcomed by the magnificent sights of Glaramara, Maiden Moor and a range of Lakeland fells. Our traditional self catering accommodation consists of a comfortable lounge with open fire, three bedrooms, a bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. There is private parking and an outdoor seating area to enjoy the wonderful sights of Borrowdale. We have retained the character of our Lake District cottage with antiques and traditional furniture throughout the property. Castle Lodge is the perfect ‘get away’, so come and retreat into Lakeland luxury, with warm rooms, big comfortable beds and superb views. Cosy Castle Lodge is a 16th Century Lakeland self-catering cottage full of rustic character, with old exposed beams and traditional furniture combined with fitted kitchen, modern bathroom and three comfortable bedrooms. The Setting: The outside space at Barn House consists of a small yard with a convenient bench, table and chairs for you to sit, relax and perhaps enjoy a coffee or a well earned wine or beer. And if you have arrived by car there is private parking. The Lounge. Castle Lodge living space. The lounge at Castle Lodge is centred around the open fireplace. There are comfy sofas on which to while away the hours it’s too dark to be outside and books, games and a TV to provide some entertainment, should you need it. The Kitchen. Castle Lodge Kitchen. The well appointed kitchen has the usual selection of electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine plus all the utensils you are likely to need. If you prefer to cook at home then the kitchen should not disappoint. The Family Bedroom. The Master Bedroom. The Master bedroom is a large room with a lovely comfy bed, just right for relaxing after a days walking or sightseeing. There is plenty of drawer and cupboard space and the views from the window are just magical. The Twin Bedroom. Twin Bedroom. The twin bedroom, naturally, has two comfy single beds and some great views from the window. Bedroom 3 – Double. The third bedroom. The third bedroom is also a good sized double and a great place to wake up, draw back the curtains and relax with a nice tea or coffee whilst taking in the views from your bed.

An Inherited property with access to all the lovely lakeland fells or riverside wanders the valley of Borrowdale is stunning in rain or sun.I love it having grown up here and my family are still all around. The cottage is one of the older properties and according to a WI history research was the vicarage for Borrowdales St Andrews church area .There are old features all over the cottage but I have put heating and glazing for today's living with all modern needs considered . .
