I have three gorgeous, occasionally naughty, friendly dogs that enjoy their walks on the Downs or on one of the islands secluded beaches, they also enjoy a nap in any local country pub.

Sunniest Holiday Ever in a Very Relaxing Appartment

Hunter Heights was a wonderful apartment to start and end the day during our relaxing holiday on the Island. We had wonderful weather all week and the apartment was always cool and inviting on our return. Marie was very welcoming and there if we needed anything, which we didn't. I would recommend this for any couple looking for a stylish, relaxing and quiet location.

Great accommodation

Hunters Heights is a lovely small apartment. Equipped to a very high standard. We stayed with our small dog.

Marie, the owner, is very helpful and is available when and if needed. Altogether we had a lovely stay.

Would recommend unreservedly.

Great location

It's a great location in Wroxall just north of Ventnor. The apartment is of top class condition from the moment you walk thru the door the quality hits you. There's a local shop with cash point and pub just a short walk away. Made good use of the bus timetable found in the kitchen. If you stay here leave the ear plugs at home you won't need them :)

From the Owner

The island is easy to access from Southampton, Portsmouth or Lymington. Incredibly easy journey from Heathrow or Gatwick. As an avid sailor, I returned to participate either sailing, socialising or both. I have loved the island since working here as a teenager. The island was an easy choice for me, perfect for dog walking, cycling and of course sailing. Wroxall is a small semi rural village and friendly.

Nearest Airport : Sandown at 3 Miles Nearest Barpub : The Star at 0.25 Miles Nearest Ferry : East Cowes, Fishbourne at 15 Miles Nearest Golf : Ventnor at 2 Miles Nearest Train : Shanklin at 3 Miles Nearest Motorway : M3 or M27 at 25 Miles Nearest Restaurant : Ventnor at 2.5 Miles Nearest Beach : Shanklin or Ventnor at 3 Miles

Special interest holidays:

The Red Squirrel Trail is couple of minutes walk away, perfect for those who are keen to cycle, walk or horse ride. The trail is along the old Wroxall railway line and goes to Shanklin. Wroxall is also on the Round the Island cycle route.


Ventnor, Shanklin and Sandown with their beautiful beaches are all within a ten minute drive.


Wroxall is a thirty minute drive from East Cowes or Fishbourne car ferry ports. Yarmouth is approximately forty minutes drive away.

Further Details:

Cleveland's is well placed in an area of outstanding natural beauty for cycling and hiking holidays or if you prefer sight seeing by car. The beautiful beaches of Ventnor and Shanklin are closeby ideal for keeping the kids happy!

Local supermarkets are in Lake approximately 5 miles or Ventnor approx 3 miles. Wroxall village has a Spar with cash point machine, post office and pub.

  • Notes on accommodation: Shared laundry facilities are available which include a washing machine and dryer, plus ironing facilities. There is also a shared drying room for boots and outdoor wear and a secure bike storage and wash down facilities. The BBQ area and outdoor seating area give you spectacular panoramic views, so imagine yourselves reclining and enjoying the long summer evenings and total relaxation. Please note during the peak summer months that our accommodation operate on weekly lets. Please feel free to make enquiries and if there is availability we will try wherever possible to be flexible. Outside: The country house kitchen leads onto a large patio, with access to barbecue and garden furniture to seat ten guests. Some facilities are shared with other guests i.e. laundry, drying room, lockable cycle storage and hose down area. There is outside seating for all accommodation and BBQ facilities.
